may i know what's so big about this no 1 ranking? to be the undisputed no 1, one has to have two bowling superstars atleast. the author is right about that. but no side right now is the undisputed no 1. it will be musical chairs in the next few years. no need to riase a cry about nonissues. its the increasing quality of the talent pool one has to concentrate on. and young players will take sometime to mature and results are not goin to be immediate for indian cricket. it will take a few years

I am wondering - when Australia were no. 1 did they have any superstar batsman? Windies in the 90s has super star batsman in lara, superstar bowlers in ambrose and walsh.. so why they weren't they no. 1 at that time? in India's defence.. we did have a superstar bowler in Anil bhai during our ascent to No. 1 status.. if you dont consider Anil as a superstar, then u r nuts.. and we have the superstar wicket keeper/batsman/captain in dhoni, which none of the current test teams can boast of at this moment
