i was just intepreting what u said.... How can a batsman score more than 11 000 runs in test cricket and one day cricket by just having 4-5 good years???
if you average only 40 after playing more than 12-13 Tests you still have scored handful of runs. But I guess Maths is not your favorite subject

I am ready to bet whatever you want that i am better than ou at maths:hysterical::hysterical: But when i look at his stats : Averages 55, with 38 hundreds... I really don't know where did ou see that ponting's average was 40... You maybe can't see properly... I hope you get well...

Ok that makes 7 tilmes over 50 in 15 years(46%) and 4 times under 40 in 15 years (26%)... Comapre tha with sachin tendulkar. Who has averaged over 50 9 times in 21 years, (42%), and 6 times under 40 in 21 years(28%) We can go deeper by just looking at averages under 35, because ponting averaged 8 two times, what is not so bad, sohe has averaged under 38 just 2 times in a 15 year career.

^again Mr. you going in wrong direction. you attacked me for this post kabira Jumbo Join Date: Oct 2006 Posts: 4,290 $ICF: 19,040,938 so he had 4-5 good years out of 10-12 years of his career. and thats what his stats shows. I did not compare him with Sachin, those comparison have already been done, just bump the threads and we can debate there, if you know how to debate. But first learn to read posts.

I am not comparing Ricy Ponting and sachin tendulkar to see who is the best batsman... The thread is about Ricky Ponting, you said he had 4-5 good years... He averaged more than 50 on 7 occasions... And I gave you an example, the one of sachin, just to show you that no one averages over 50 every year.... And as we also saw, ponting hadjust two really bad years in his 15 year career...

Why are you guys so obsessed with Ponting? I bet the Aussies hardly care about Sachin' date=' anyway dude seriously the ratings doesn't matter. [b']He is a world class batsman and he will be back in top notch in no time, also dude useless thread.
Maybe not! He has been on decline for a couple of years solid. May not reach the heights he achieved previously
