The issue emerged with publication of an interview with the then-head of Abu Kabir forensic institute, Dr Jehuda Hiss. The interview was conducted in 2000 by an American academic, who released it because of a huge controversy last summer over an allegation by a Swedish newspaper that Israel was killing Palestinians in order to harvest their organs. Not sure how authentic this piece of news is - harvesting organs from dead Palestinians is one thing, but to kill for the purpose of harvesting is taking things too far. These guys have gone through so much discrimination and destruction throughout their history. Now with power on their side, they seem to be dishing out the same treatment to others.
