Pakistan-India
Thats about 7 or 8 games ... ok lets say 10 matches in about 250+ ODIs ... :hysterical: thats what i mean, 10 matches? :giggle: when you count just the 50/s and centuris, in bowling 5frs you get total of over 50 matches, and for afridi this is more than enough Link to comment

patriot
There is talent' date=' but they lack technique[/quote'] Umm...same thing could be said of tail enders. They may have the talent, but lack a batsman's technique. :hysterical: Link to comment
Pakistan-India
If i start doing that with lets say SRT the no.of matches will be pretty much close to Afridis entire freakin career :hysterical: yaar, are we even comparing afridi with tendulkar here?, is there a second choice when it comes to comparing any player with sachin currently. what am just talking about is some body asked 'why pakistani people hail afridi as a hero! When it comes to SRT you expect him to win 400 games out of the 440 odd he featured in, to call him a champion but when it comes to Afridi 50 out of 250 is more than sufficient ? :giggle: Link to comment

Its not just about Tendulkar. Pakistan hailed Wasim once, which is quiet understandable but what's with the fascination with Afridi ? Link to comment

DomainK
Pakistani people follow Afridi because they identify with him. Total madness, brute power, no brains, fun at the cost of loyalty, unruly, indisciplined, foul mouthed and someone who can ditch his team for the excitement of one six. Pakistani people follow Akhtar because they identify with him. Akhtar plays victim after committing all the crimes himself. Akhtar is a miniature Pakistan. Link to comment
nballa
experience. lot of future Hall of Famers in the line up though. Expect big things from their youngsters. Link to comment

Akhtar is a miniature Pakistan. domaink:two_thumbs_up: and alot more, you offcourse have to be a pakistani as to know the feelings when afridi walked out to bat in 2007 t20 world cup, and then in 2009 world cup. 1 total failure-pak lost, other total sccess-pak won Link to comment

King Tendulkar
go and have a look on his profile, it starts something like this 'In cricket, Shahid Afridi is the maddest of mad maxes. A flamboyant allrounder introduced to international cricket as a 16-year-old legspinner' his records doesnt suggest why pakistanis like him so much, but the way he plays the game, you dnt know whats coming your way, srilanka didnt when they first bowled at him, harbhajan didnt when he bowled to him, and balaji didnt either, to be fair any indian didnt once in chennai 1999, and then 45 ball century was something awwsome, when you such a violence against india, you really are a star in pakistan. afridi officilay wrote his name on the books of legends during 2009 world cup. This is the madness personified. Afridi is a total mediocre player but look at the above pak post above, he is drooling over him. Just shows the depths pak cricket has sunk to when frankly a rubbish player like Afirdi is adored. Link to comment
