King Tendulkar Posted December 19, 2010 Posted December 19, 2010 Breaks the Indian record of most runs in a calendar year (1462 runs) previously held by Viru!:hatsoff:
dial_100 Posted December 19, 2010 Posted December 19, 2010 After Bassu finishes playing SA and NZ this year, He will certainly have completed 1500 runs against both the teams. That will make him the first one to score 1500+ runs against top 5 teams. If we play WI in the near future, then hey may complete 1500 against them as well, that will make him 1500+ runs against all top team. (Minnows like Pak, Bango and Zimz are ignored). Unbelievable. As rightly predicted.... Check out Hopefully, I will be there in WI next year to see him completing his 1500 runs against them as well. :two_thumbs_up:
Sachin=GOD Posted December 19, 2010 Posted December 19, 2010 Becomes the first Indian batsman to score six centuries in a calendar year. Now becomes 1st Indian batsman to score 7 centuries in a calender year :hatsoff::hatsoff:
Sachin=GOD Posted December 19, 2010 Posted December 19, 2010 Yeah HTB. Most of them at home. Infact just 8 of the 30 100s are away 100s :giggle: whats HTB??
Sachin=GOD Posted December 19, 2010 Posted December 19, 2010 Home Track Bully Mathew Hayden HTB :phehehe::phehehe::phehehe::phehehe:

f2000560 Posted December 31, 2010 Posted December 31, 2010 how many people have made their test debuts for india after tendulkar ? Jaidev Unadkat is the latest. Any chances of the number reaching 100 ?

f2000560 Posted December 31, 2010 Posted December 31, 2010 Totally 81 players have debuted ( Test Matches only ) starting from the 2nd Test in that 1989 Series vs Pak. 100 might be a stretch but 81 itself is testament to his longevity considering only 250? odd people have represented india in tests
Tapioca Posted December 31, 2010 Posted December 31, 2010 Breaks the Indian record of most runs in a calendar year (1462 runs) previously held by Viru! The former record was actually Gavaskar's 1555. CI counts the runs in tests that began in a year, and not runs scored in that year. SMG went from 34* to 182* on Jan 1, 1979 which is excluded from his tally for 1979 which is given as 1407 (CI then adds it as a footnote). SRT went past that one too at Durban.

f2000560 Posted January 1, 2011 Posted January 1, 2011 Totally 266 players. More than the no.of players its the no.of Test matches that have been played since 1989 that tell the story. By the time he retires nearly 50% of all Test match cricket would have happened since his debut. He has hinted at trying to make it to 200 tests well that surely would be something !
akshayxyz Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 How many away matches coming up in 2011? It looks possible that he can cross 34 mark - in just away 100s. Think about it 34 used to be world record when he took to cricket! Ohh wait - 29 away 100s and just 22 for STB/FTB/HTB?
akshayxyz Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 3(WI)+4(Eng)+4(Aus) = 11 Away tests by this time next yr. :woot: :--D Thats perfect stage. Lets hope for the best.
