Avg inngs during those calendar yrs when a player made atleast 1000 runs. Showing only those who have done it atleast 3 times to weed out those who did it once or twice.

Looks like your stats are utterly wrong. Here is the list for people who have scored 1000 runs even once in their life times. Putting a limit of 3 is cheating because it will effectively rule out messers Richards and Bradman. It is more cheating because you consider n number of innings player A made 1500 runs to x number of innings that player made 1050 runs. If a player made 1500 in 18 innings his innings per 1000 runs should be 12, not 18. Here is the list I got. Tendulkar is way behind when it comes to scoring really big. Just remember that there are some people actually want to test what you are posting.

People who've seen him just know that he's great. Stats wars will just cause stats picking to look down on great players, by creating unnecessary stat wars. Some of you said I was pawned. Now I pawned BossBhai in to submission by revealing the stats picking he was doing by excluding players who scored 1000 runs / season less than 3 times, and that includes three of the best batsmen ever in test cricket (Bradman, Sobers and Richards). If somebody want to wage on stats war they can do it. But my opinion is it's just not necessary, because stats will add only little to a reputation of a great player.

It doesn't make sense because it excludes the Don and Viv. Ok, 2 times or more would have been a better cut off, but it still cuts off Sobers, the second best test batsman of all time. I could understand your concerns over Yousuf, and I'd also acknowledge that he's not a legendary batsman Now you call Sober's performance was fluke? You think Sobers was not as good as Sehwag, Sangakkara, Kalis or Ponting who all have topped 100 runs more than three seasons?

Wait, Tendulkar is way behind scoring big because someone like Yousuf did it once in less innings, but someone like Sachin did it 6 times albeit in more innings? So Yousuf scores big more often than Sachin even though he has crossed 1000 only once as opoosed to Sachin's 6 times? Why dont you take Sachin's one year when he used least innings?
