Bangladesh came to the match knowing that they will have to beat Pakistan and also by a good margin to insure berth in final. Skipper Mohammad Mithun won the cherished toss and elected to bat first. In reply Pakistan batsmen found the situation too hot to handle as they perished literally without offering any real challenge as they were bowled out for 104 in 18.2 overs as local spun their web to force them to play false shots. This is the Cricket event in the South Asia Games. Test nations (BD, SL and Pak) have sent their U-21 teams and Associates (Nepal, Maldives, Afghanistan, Bhutan) have sent their senior teams. India didn't send a team (and you guys talk big about having cricket in the Olympics). It is T20 format and Bangladesh thrashed Pakistan in the semis. Bangladesh and Sri Lanka will battle it out for Gold in the final while Pakistan face Maldives for the bronze medal.
