Funny thing in last decade is about WI cricket there are lots writings in Media about WI doenword spiral and After some time when they won few matches WI revival...this cycle goes On and on... Still its very bad for Cricket if WI completely gone the way of bangla and pak... May be in future only IPL remains and cricket will become like base ball....

Kraigg Brathwaite and Adrian Barath openning partnership will bring the WI back, they have so much talented cricketers but the WICB must be the worst board other than Pakistans.

Every team goes through bad patches, the WI's just seems to be longer than the rest and they deserve it, the board have no facilities to nurture young talent and just thought they could dominate world cricket forever, only now are they getting with the times. In a few years they will be ranked higher than Pak and NZ and be competing with the rest of the teams.

West indies player are more interesed by IPL than their national duties... The future once gayle, chanderpul will retired look gloomly I think in a few year BD will be ahead of WI because BD is a young team with few talented players

Kraigg Brathwaite, Adrian Barath, Darren Bravo. 3 young batsmen who are better than anything that will be produced in bangladesh on the near future, Kraigg in particular. Throw Jason Holder and other talented youths into the mix and I think West Indies are only gonna get better.

Bangladesh are still terrible, you cant assume just because players are young in BD team they will get better, look at Ashraful, he was better at 17 than he is at 25 or however old he is now.

He's just got one 50 in first class cricket. Way too early to be raving about him.

West Indies are detined to fail. These players hardly use their brains, they are playing for the money not for their nation, no patriotism whatsoever. There's no Malocom Marshall, Clive Lloyd or even a Lara, everyone now are money hungry skums, sorry but this is the bitter truth.

WI have some decent up and coming players. Now, if they can restructure their domestic tournament it will do a world of good to these players. For starters, they should scrap the current one-off four day competition and instead play a two-way one. As Serani said, Kraigg has a lot of potential. I watched him play in the under19 WC and he was very impressive. I liked his defense more than anything else and if he keeps working well, he will go on to have a successful test career. Then they have other players like Jason Holder, Shane Dowrich, Yannick Ottley, Cariah. These guys have the potential, just that they have to be nurtured well and I hope Ottis Gibson does that. Even the current team ain't that bad..they just have to work on their fitness. Barath Gayle Sarwan Chanders Lil Bravo/ Pollard D Bravo Ramdin Benn Taylor Edwards Roach/ Miller This team has all the capabilities to be a mid table one.

Are WI interested to play for their country before T20 ? I don't think so
What makes you think so? If you are gonna point out the recent player strike as the basis for your 'assumption' then here are a few queries for you to answer - did you know that the players were not paid for their last three tours prior to the Bangla series? Did you know Bravo didn't get any financial help when he was nursing an injury for over six months or so? Did you know it took WICB almost a year to settle the players' dues for their participation in the 2007WC? One final question, will you continue to work even if you are not paid? Honestly they aren't as bad as SL who canceled their tour of England to take part in the IPL. And fyi there are just a handful of players who got an IPL contract. Players like Chanders, Sarwan, Ramdin, Benn, Miller, etc have to turn up in their national colors to earn a living.
