Texan Posted February 24, 2010 Posted February 24, 2010 Trying to compile a list of players who have represented England in the last decade in any international match who were born in a foreign country. I'm not including any players of different origin (India/Pak/Aus) who were born in England. There are plenty of those (Panesar, Sajid Mahmood, Amjad Khan, Adil Rashid etc) I know there must be few missing in this list. Feel free to let me know if you find some more. 1. KP Pietersen (born in SA) 2. Andrew Strauss (born in SA) 3. Matt Prior (born in SA) 4. Jonathan Trott (born in SA) 5. Andy Caddick (born in NZ) 6. Geraint Jones (born in Papua New Guinea) 7. Amjad Khan (born in Denmark) 8. Owais Shah (born in Pakistan) 9. Nasser Hussain (born in India) 10. Eoin Morgan (born in Ireland) 11. Usmaan Afzaal (born in Pakistan) 12. Gavin Hamilton (born in Scotland) 13. Tim Ambrose (born in Aus) 14. Vikram Solanki (born in India) 15. Graeme Hick (born in Zim)
Texan Posted February 24, 2010 Author Posted February 24, 2010 Zimbabwe born Graeme Hick. Ohh yes. he did play for England in the 2000s also. I'm sure if anyone started compiling such a list for other teams, we won't even get more than 3 foreign-born players for most countries. And in case of countries like India or Pak, not even one.

Robin Singh was born in West Indies, I believe.

Don Sharma Posted February 24, 2010 Posted February 24, 2010 Craig Kieswetter - w/k batsman born in SA. Most prolly he'll make his debut this Sunday.
Don Sharma Posted February 24, 2010 Posted February 24, 2010 ^ Darren was raised in Australia but he was born in England.
Serani Posted February 24, 2010 Posted February 24, 2010 I dont mind the likes of Strauss, Prior, shah etc who were raised in England but some of them is a joke when they havent lived in England.
