Pakistan cricketers need to be more aggressive : Afridi Staff Report LAHORE: Pakistan great all rounder, Shahid Afridi has lamented the loss of aggression among Pakistani cricketers that once gave it a competitive edge. In the city for personal reasons, Afridi made it to the National Cricket Academy to lecture the Pakistan U-15 team on fitness and diet. I have played with teams in the 90's where even spin bowlers like Saqlain Mushtaq and Mushibhai ( Mushtaq Ahmed ), bowled with a fast bowler's mentality. That passion and aggression alone won us many close matches. Unfortunately, this is disappearing from Pakistani cricket. He urged the Pak U-15 team, currently training at the NCA, to play each local match as if it were a ticket to the Pakistan team. Shahid Afridi also expressed regret at what he called the " KFC and Pizza Hut " culture in major cities. Urging the young cricketers to be careful about their food intake, Afridi asked them to cut down as much on fried food and move on to a healthy diet if they ever hoped to play for Pakistan Refusing to comment on the probable coach, Shahid told this correspondent that a local coach would work better with the team.

I really can't be bothered about Pakistan cricket, losing 10 matches on a streak, are they competing against Bangladesh? These bunch of ignorant, misbehaved criceters can even put the Aussie team to shame.

I think few of Indian Cricketers who are becoming Balloon lately like Rohit, should also take Afridi's advice upon Fast Food thing. Both Indian and Pakistani people are not good healthwise with their delicious Dishes. They should include much more Salads and less spices.

Well many of the modern players are so fat, Inzamam was a shocking example and Warne too. I just watched India bat and Dhoni looks rather chunky, but boy can he run. It's unacceptable that International players shoudl be so unfit.

Very well said Afridi!
You should thank your god, that Afretard is talking about fitness and not on about how to actually play cricket. :hysterical:

Sure, for there's nothing faster than a uncooked cricket ball. Seriously though, how do you know Rohit Sharma is eating fast food? You talk as if you were his nutritionist once. BTW, ever wonder how many calories are there in your butter chicken, shahi korma, saag paneer, paratha, naan, and the like, which many in the sub-continent consider "regular food"? While it's important you watch what you eat, what's also important is how often you eat in a 24-hr day and how active your lifestyle is.

I think what he means is... instead of taking the bite slowly.. bite at the bowl aggreseively...
:hysterical: . I would not be surprised even if the aforementioned spinners ( Saqlain and Mushtaq Ahmed) bit the ball, when cameras were less previlent.
