THX_1138 Posted February 28, 2010 Posted February 28, 2010 10K runs, home and away and both ODI and Tests... 5K runs against Australia 150 ODI and Test 100s. then he may retire.
THX_1138 Posted February 28, 2010 Posted February 28, 2010 i want to see sachin lift the ipl. i want to see him to win as a captain atleast once. ... we are such pathetic fools. we are satisfied to see someone else be happy. bloody ayn rand would spit on our lot. well we are not that removed are we? we identify his success as our own.
thevortex Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 Temujin Khagan - such an interesting comment. But all sport watching is such a pursuit that it involves us becoming happy and joyous based on achievements of the sportspeople. That is why I call this entire pursuit vicarious :). For that matter, enjoying a good movie too is more or less the same. I am an ardent Ayn Rand fan too and I dont think her philosophy prevents us from sharing with others' happiness. It just urges us to find our own sources of happiness. If you have not already read it, do read 'The Romantic Manifesto' by Ayn Rand. A little but lovely book.
