On all counts, it was a difficult opening fixture for India. A defeat against Pakistan would have been a big blow to the Indian morale. India last defeated Aus in 2002 in champions trophy. Aus has since clean sweeped India 7 times in major competitions. India will do well to reach 5th or 6th position max and if a miracle happens, semifinals. Thats abt what you can expect from number 12 ranked team with home ground advantage.
