Ram Posted March 13, 2010 Posted March 13, 2010 Nice work guys. Now, can someone mail this to Pwnting's address?
Karan114 Posted March 13, 2010 Posted March 13, 2010 2 more wickets away from 200 international wickets :yay: 1...remember the one wicket in T20I :winky:
Roshanrocks Posted March 13, 2010 Posted March 13, 2010 If you compare the stats of these 2 batsmen since Ponting debuted, you would find that both have scored equal number of hundreds since Ponting first played in Dec 8, 1995 .........................Mat.... Inns.... NO..... Runs..... HS..... Ave........BF......SR......100..... 50 Ricky Ponting..... 142.....240..... 27..... 11859.... 257.... 55.67.... 19897...59.60....39...... 51 Sachin Tendulkar.128.....216..... 22..... 10964.... 248*.. 56.51.....19922. ..55.03...39...... 41 SO.... POnting has had to play 24 more innings to be at par with Sachin, :icflove:
Roshanrocks Posted March 13, 2010 Posted March 13, 2010 i jus noticed that almost all people who have posted here have the same person as heir avatar
SachDan Posted March 29, 2010 Posted March 29, 2010 bump Yet another ordinary series for :punter: 69 runs @ 23 :hehe: If not for Mowgli dropping a sitter at Hobart, Pwnting would have gone more than 20 innings' without a Ton !
King Tendulkar Posted March 29, 2010 Posted March 29, 2010 bump Yet another ordinary series for :punter: 69 runs @ 23 :hehe: If not for Mowgli dropping a sitter at Hobart, Pwnting would have gone more than 20 innings' without a Ton ! :omg:
saneindian Posted March 29, 2010 Posted March 29, 2010 55.22 vs 55.56 :) And recently I found that, in Dec 2006, after 107 tests, Punter was averaging 59.99!! At that time, Sachin had 35 test 100s, Punter 33! Since then Sachin has left Punter far far behind.

Yeh Mowgli really annoyed me that day. It was so perfectly set up to get the ****er dropped from the team. Its amazing to see how few of the so-called experts are calling for his head. Tendulkar fails in 1 innings, just one and these parasites are running around with their arms in the air and screaming their lungs out
f.b.m Posted March 29, 2010 Posted March 29, 2010 I reckon it would have been much easier to just graph the net difference.
acharya Posted March 29, 2010 Posted March 29, 2010 bossbhai is always right - hopefully our babbus ensure more tests for sachin

I'll hand it to Tendulkar I think he just edges Ponting as a batsman, but not by as much as many would like to think.

The average age of the cricket expert is at least 10-15 years over the average age of fans over MBs though and so you will find all of them unanimously rate Sachin well over ponting The Sachin in the dying period of his career edges Ponting out as a batsman. imagine the Sachin in his prime

Thats like saying scoring home runs in baseball doesnt matter, that scoing more points in basket ball doesnt matter, that scoring more goals in football doesnt matter. Arent we losing a sense of perspective here? What defines a batsman more than scoring runs and big runs?
