SJS50 Posted April 17, 2010 Posted April 17, 2010 I generally avoid getting into arguments like this. I am aware that the fans on the internet are swayed by some common 'forces' (for want of a better word) which one finds it difficult to appreciate but you can sense a wave in favour of a player (a Venu one day a Badrinath the next) or against one (like Rohit for some time now) but let me stick my neck out and predict something here which I don't normally like to do for players can sometimes fall off for unexplainable reasons. Rohit Sharma is India's next big superstar cricketer. I say so because his game is that good. I do not care about what he does or does not do at IPL. Lets discuss this five years from now :) The player most likely to join him amongst India's middle order to replace the stars who must be in their last 2-3 years, has to be Murali Vijay. I am sorry if these two do not fit the wider community's "specifications" of what constitutes great potential but this is my humble opinion :-)
