In the group stages and the semifinals, Pakistan looked really strong. Both their raiders and jaafis looked in good touch. Surprising to see them wilt in the final against India. Final score 58-24 in favor of India. Another point to note was that the crowds turned out in really big numbers. These matches were not played in proper grounds but starting next WC, the minister vouched to build 8 new stadiums. Not really sure if this will come true but I wish they would do the same for hockey. And there was relatively big money available for the winners 1 crore Rs.
