siddhu
I-T officials raid IPL headquarters Income Tax officials conducted raids in the Indian Premier League (IPL) headquarters in Mumbai on Thursday. The investigations follow the controversy about the financial irregularities in the IPL. Recently the Kochi franchise came under the scanner for allegedly giving 'free equity' to Dubai-based entrepreneur Sunanda Pushkar, who is a close friend of the Minister of State for External Affairs Shashi Tharoor. IPL Commissioner Lalit Modi has alleged that Kochi is not coming out clean on their stakeholders. But his accusations have opened a can of worms and questions are also being raised about the IPL commissioner's own business interests in Rajasthan Royals and Kings XI Punjab. The IPL office is housed in the BCCI headquarters in Mumbai. http://www.hindustantimes.com/I-T-officials-raid-IPL-headquarters/H1-Article1-531628.aspx
