Windows have builtin "Remote Desktop" which is the best, activate Remote Desktop on the master PC (configure it thro Control Panel - allocate rights from which PC u want it accesses, passwords etc) ************************** 1. Open System by clicking the Start button Picture of the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking System and Maintenance, and then clicking System. 2. Click Remote settings on the left. 3. In the System Properties dialog box, under Remote Desktop, select the one of the three options, and then click Select Users. Administrator permission required If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation. If you are an administrator on the computer, your current user account will automatically be added to the list of remote users and you can skip the next two steps. 4. In the Remote Desktop Users dialog box, click Add. 5. In the Select Users or Groups dialog box, do the following: * To specify the search location, click Locations, and then select the location you want to search. * In Enter the object names to select, type the name of the user that you want to add, and then click OK. The name will be displayed in the list of users in the Remote Desktop Users dialog box. ************************************************** Then on client PC , start > programs > accessories > remote desktop connection , mention name/user/pwd (if any) and go its pretty straightforward i got 4 servers in US datacenters which i controls/manages through RDP in India u can also use http://www.realvnc.com free edition

I wouldn't play around with opening RDP & firewall ports on the firewall unless you know what exactly you are doing. Especially over the internet. Use something like Teamviewer or GotomyPC from citrix. Teamviewer's free version is good enough for simple uses.

Installed TeamViewer. Before, I tried using remote desktop and changing the router / port settings.
