Grounds are big in IPL. Boundary ropes are pulled in . There is a difference. I saw 70 meter six here that went well past square boundary line. Outfield is lightning quick in India which you would expect. Compared to Aussie grounds these are not that big as the commies try to brainwash us. Albie Morkel hit a six in the first IPL. It was measured 121 meter. That hit the roof. It didn't go out of the stadium. You could roughly say it is not as small as you suggest. It is definitely bigger than Windies stadium. Delhi is the smallest ground in India among major test playing centers.

Forget the size of the ground - Nothing can match the atmosphere & the mob frenzy in the Indian grounds. As for the crowd in WI, it seems only ppl who don't have anything to do come to the ground - drink & sleep.
