Willow_on_fire Posted August 25, 2008 Posted August 25, 2008 Should have found this thread before renting singh is king. Had to turn it off in 15 minutes.... Why do they keep making the same rubbish movies.. you rent the movie and you are so angry....just imagine if you had spent $15 plus at a cineplex...:hysterical: 1st week collections.....90 crore rupees.....:two_thumbs_up:
Guest Hiten. It surely means people were waiting for this movie but not necessarily were they happy after watching it. OSO is a very fine example. It is entered in a 'all time blockbuster' movie column (as it collected heaps of Rs.) but that movie was definitely SH*T. Singh is King is no different than OSO, crappy storyline with few funny scenes.

Dirty_South Posted August 25, 2008 Posted August 25, 2008 ^ppl who just went to the theatres. wat a piece of shyte that movie was (PS - Akki is my fav actor after Aamir)
Guest Hiten. Posted August 25, 2008 Posted August 25, 2008 I saw this movie 1st day of its release at a cineplex....it was a funny movie...I enjoyed it...and it is a super-hit.....well some desis who act like phoren jackasses will not like the film coz it portrays a Sikh...so...**** them....simple as that....if these type dislike Akshay acting as a Sikh in a bollywood film....then they can be termed as regionalists....period!!! what the f00k ? I don't care what community Akshay represents in the movie, all I want from him is a better ***ing movie. To me even if he is a dalit in some movie with a sensible storyline is acceptable. Singh is Kiing is a okay movie with few funny scenes. As I asked earlier how exactly is this move different than Welcome ? (except for the fact that Akshay was not Sikh in Welcome). Again, Welcome --> Akki a nice decent guy who tries to help gangsters change their life. SIK --> Akki a nice decent 'punjab da munda' tries to help 'King' and his little goons change their life. Don't get me wrong here, Akhsay is a terrific actor. I liked him even before he was hyped. His role in movies like Khakee are to be cherished by his fans forever but his petty roles like SIK deserve a big tight slap on Akki's face for actually signing up for that piece of garbage. Akshay's movies were better than SRK (to me) because he signed selected films unlike SRK but now that difference has been wiped out and he can be seen in films like 'Bewafa', 'Humko deewana kar gaye', 'Tashan' etc. No one is hating Akshay just because he was a Sikh in that movie, its just that movie sucked on a whole. For heaven's sakes.
umpire Posted August 25, 2008 Posted August 25, 2008 I am big Akki fan and was disappointed with SIK. I liked Welcome better. In the end, its a hit movie.

The movie for me was horrible, rubbish story, horrible acting and worse direction.
Guest Hiten. Posted August 25, 2008 Posted August 25, 2008 Saw Face off again. Brilliant acting by John Travolta and Nicholas cage. John was at his best when he plays the character of Castor troy. Y'know, I could eat a peach for hours.
