However, it's better to pay that marginal amount more and get it from India because then you know that your warranty is sorted. If you buy from a reputed place like croma then there shouldnt be any problems.

They actually gave me a 2 years warranty when I bought it. Now i know why :)[/quote'] This is a known issue with some Seagate drives and is either a symptom of impending failure or a crap usb cable. With my Seagate it is the latter (hopefully), moving it well away from my base unit and monitor stopped the clicking, as it was probably EM interference causing it.
