Seriously....... what do you really need to do with this bowling? Guys, Facing Short balls is one problem. So are other teams like SriLanka and pakistan who are so vulnerable to pace and bounce.But they consistently make semis every time. Atleast they can give a little fight with their bowling resources. How do we answer our bowling woes? Our best bowler Zak gets tonked with ease. Only Harbajan seems to put up some fight, but he'll go for runs on non-turner tracks. Lesser said, the better about our other fasssssssssssst bowlers. Now what is the answers. Until we put huge totals on board, we can cover up the holes in bowling, But not too often with this kind of crap bowling we had today. PS: Credits to Pakistan for defending a low total against SA. Good choice of bowlers & good bowling talents coming across. Unless BCCI makes it a priority to groom fast bowlers by having bouncy tracks, we cannot evoke any interest among the next generation to produce a good fast bowlers. We'll only produce batsmen who might do resonably well in international circuit(struggling against short ball), but only medium pace trundlers or spinners with such crappy flat pitches during our Ranji & Irani Trophies BTW Thank you India for loosing again & again. You are a crap T20 team. Period

Our bowling is the only side to concede 160 runs in each and every innings regardless of the pitch against top countries, regardless of batting first or fielding first.

They are the ppl who schedule a 2 month IPL just 5 days before T20 World cups. Do you really expect players to perform at intl level after participating in a gruelling 2 month tourney which finishes less than a week before the T20 cup? Players will go where money is but I expect BCCI as custodians of indian cricket to ensure it gives us the best possible chance to perform. Do you think BCCI has done so?

That pretty much answers our T20 WC results. Your batsmen can let you down once in a while, but I'm surprised no body speaks anything about our crap bowling in this forum. Why is it taken for granted that Batsmen have to step up every time? How Stupid!!!!!!!!

I dont agree with this.... but when your bowling is soooooooo poor how much can a captain do?Our captaan did reasonably well when CSK had a strike bowler like Bollinger.

Yeah, didn't mean to suggest our ODI bowling is much cop either. But ODIs have more of a role for batsmen to play, hence our greater success in that format.

with these bowling attack how a team can win any t20 or odi match and the bubble had to b urst sometime,we were winning in matches only bcoz our batting and if it is terribly out of form,we can not win any game. i think we are the only team in the world with no good bowler at the start or end and its amusing to see such a surprise to our performance ,i thought it was on expected lines ,ya we should rejoice our win against sa but again it was more of case them losing then us winning. all in all india keeping its track record in icc events intact

But everytime we loose, we have a tendency to blame batsmen. Thats BS IMO. They have the license to flop once in a while, what are bowlers for in a team then?

You hit the nail on the head there. We need to prepare bouncy pitches and that will in turn produce faster, express speed bowlers and give our batsmen practise on such pitches. We should still have slow turners but there should be a balance. To me this is the single biggest reason we lost so badly this time and the last. Its not as if BCCI do not have the resources or finances to make this happen. Thats my 2 cents. Atleast i have a bottle of Jack bhai to make me feel better!:eyedance:

I think he means that Dhoni is a defensive captain. Giving priority to stopping runs rather than taking wickets.
