EnterTheVoid Posted May 10, 2010 Posted May 10, 2010 I know I'm going to get a lot of brick bats for dragging you (Sachin) into this fiasco.. But I'm sure you yourself might be feeling that you should have helped the team by making yourself available for this year's tournament. You should have played considering 1. that you were / are in such tremendous form in the IPL, providing such brilliant starts and dragging the team of rookies along. Not just T20 or IPL, you have been in the second best form of his life (next only to the sublime form in 1998) 2. that Sehwag was out with injury and Gauti was nowhere near his best form, you should have put your hands up and said, I'll wear my pads 3. that your mere presence at the crease would have sent shivers in the opposition dressing room. And you are the only one who could have provided the steady starts and much needed stability to the batting order, which was lacking at the top. What if you have decided 3 years ago that you dont want to play this form of the game anymore? You could have made a come back. Dint your good friend Schumi start racing again? When lesser mortals are retiring from test cricket to concentrate on ODIs and T20s, you decided to retire from T20s to concentrate on longer formats? Is T20 going to take so much out of you? Is that something that you cant handle in order to give us Indians the joy of winning a WC (doesn't matter what format, winning WC is always sweet). I have been bashing Dhoni around for sticking to his stupid tactics and not learning from his mistakes. He's been letting his team down just to prove a point by sticking to his tactics... Dont you feel you are also letting us down by sticking to your decision of standing down from T20s? Please change your decision.. I'm not sure when the next tournament is - but if you are still around playing, I'll be mighty upset if you still dont play... - A sobbing Indian Cricket Fan Lol, what a ****ing sook of a post but the last line is simply pathetic.
f.b.m Posted May 10, 2010 Posted May 10, 2010 Spot effing on ... especially the highlighted part. :hysterical: Whatever, believe what you want. I won money because of this and your holy acceptance has nothing to do with it lawlz..
yoda Posted May 10, 2010 Posted May 10, 2010 And so what if Tendulkar plays IPL to hype his brand. If lundfakeers like Vijay can do it what's wrong with Tendulkar doing it? what's with the selective abuse of some players to suit your agenda? at least keep some of these gutter words to yourself without bringing the whole board's language level down.
Guest Evil Mod Consortium Posted May 10, 2010 Posted May 10, 2010 Spot effing on ... especially the highlighted part. :hysterical: Some of us can remember the semi-finalists (forget finalists) of the older World Cups... off the top of EMC's head; South Africa/Aus and Sri Lanka/NZ in '07; India/Kenya and Aus/SL in '03; Aus/SAF and Pak/NZ in '99, India/SL and Aus/WI in '96, Pakistan/NZ and RSA/England in '92...) How many here do you think can even remember the semi finalists of last year's IPL, forget the inaugural one? :phehehe:
ludhianvi Posted May 10, 2010 Posted May 10, 2010 Here's the story: 1. India get thrashed out of the World Cup in 2007 in West Indies by Bangladesh in the first round. 2. T20 World Cup follows in the next couple of months. 3. Then one of these things happened: a) Selectors think t20 is for youngsters and sideline the trio of Tendulkar, Dravid and Ganguly b) The trio think that t20 is for youngsters and choose to sit out the t20 c) The trio do not value t20 that much and sit out 4. India win the t20 World Cup 5. Dravid/Ganguly dropped from ODI squad 5. IPL is formed to counter ICL 6. Dravid, Ganguly, and Tendulkar become icon players for their respective sides to lead a t20 format tournament. The trio become brand ambassadors of IPL and promote it. 7. 2009 t20 World Cup is held and Tendulkar, Dravid, and Ganguly do not feature in the squads. India crash out of the Super 8's without winning a game. 8. Tendulkar is in tremendous form in both ODI's and Test cricket and continues this form in IPL 3. In an interview, when questioned what he thinks of t20, he replies " I love this format". In another interview when asked if he would like to represent India in the t20 World Cup, he says that he said goodbye to representing India in t20's in 2007 but likes the IPL since he was there at the start. What happened in between only Sachin knows.
Guest Evil Mod Consortium Posted May 10, 2010 Posted May 10, 2010 Thus proving that Sachin iz only zelfish and playz for his bank account. [/whineleg, who we all miss.]
Precambrian Posted May 10, 2010 Posted May 10, 2010 You had Shane Warne, Matt Hayden, Adam Gilchrist etc who all played IPL even after retiring from test all forms of game. I don't think any fans called them selfish. Australia went into a difficult phase after that, but has now emerged with a fresh combination of players. We on the other hand have got so much used to Sachin almost singlehandedly delivering everything on a platter, that we now take it for granted and can't accept he can't continue to lift the national team forever. He is still doing us a favor by papering over inadequacies in test cricket and ODIs.
Holysmoke Posted May 10, 2010 Posted May 10, 2010 this thread implies that we'd have won if sachin was playing:hehe: LOL.. we'd have still lost, and dinx would be sobbing even more accusing SRT of match fixing:hysterical:
Mr. Wicket Posted May 10, 2010 Posted May 10, 2010 LOL.. we'd have still lost' date=' and dinx would be sobbing even more accusing SRT of match fixing:hysterical:[/quote'] WTF. Someone actually was retarded enough to do that?

EnterTheVoid Posted May 10, 2010 Posted May 10, 2010 WTF. Someone actually was retarded enough to do that? http://www.indiancricketfans.com/showthread.php?t=219286 I also remembe reading some absolute gutter tripe from dinakkar about SRT choking, losing on purpose.
Mr. Wicket Posted May 10, 2010 Posted May 10, 2010 Wow. I thought ludhianvi's ridiculous thread about SRT being a choker after his 175 was as bad as it got in terms of obscenely stupid posts that were offensive to read, but - wow. This takes the cake. This is the sort of thing you'd expect from jealous Pakistanis who sob their eyes out quietly in bed at the thought of their best batsman of the last 20 years scoring in binary on a certain fast wicket in Australia and the best batsman across the border breaking record after record. Not from Indian fans. It truly is a shame - Tendulkar has given so much to us as a batsman, a cricketer, as a person - and rather than appreciate his skill, greatness and humility, you have people who actually DELIGHT in his failures and mock him for being a choker. Disgusting.
Roshanrocks Posted May 10, 2010 Posted May 10, 2010 Sachin is smart and very well experienced with the "mentality" of indian fans, he is not going to fall for this emotional "appeal" and one thing is for sure, the day sachin retires from international cricket it will be a permanent retirement with NO comebacks :((
ludhianvi Posted May 10, 2010 Posted May 10, 2010 Oh hai Evil Mod Consortium aka Salil aka Mr. Wicket. Have we decided on which account to respond with? What's wrong with the post? I presented facts as they occured! I dont know what you took away from the post. As for the Sachin thread, my thread was just in jest. I really dont know why you want to bring that up in the first place unless your intentions are twisted. It was only made for those posters like yourself who keep calling names to cricketers like Yuseless, etc. I did not really like creating that thread but just so that some of you posters like yourself get a taste of your own medicine and what it feels like. I am not the one who goes out abusing posters or players, its not in my nature.
Mr. Wicket Posted May 10, 2010 Posted May 10, 2010 "As for the Sachin thread, my thread was just in jest." LOL... after the way you kept defending your comments in chat and across the board, now you're trying to hide behind the "it was all in jest" tagline? :hysterical: If you're gonna spew ignorant bullshyt outta yr ****... at least take some responsibility for it instead of shrugging it off and not even having the balls to stand by your comments, you gutless cüntrag. I'm done arguing with you... save your BS for people who actually will believe your nonsense and keep drinking your koolaid.

So much swearing and abusing a fellow poster without any provocations. It just shows your class as a person and as an admin and moderator. :two_thumbs_up: Anyways, you still havent replied as to what's wrong with that post?
EnterTheVoid Posted May 10, 2010 Posted May 10, 2010 Salil, sample this gem from Dinakkar; 1. that you were / are in such tremendous form in the IPL, providing such brilliant starts and dragging the team of rookies along Quite a U - turn from: Choking lesson from the master and his disciples... After accusing SRT of match fixing, choking, under hand dealings, he's practically pleading him to play T20's. Such extreme in their praise / hate, absolutely sickening to read.
suraj Posted May 10, 2010 Posted May 10, 2010 I am truly bummed out on Sachin sitting this one out and it is purely based on his recent form; he is so valuable in any format right now ranging from a 5 over to an endless test match based on his form so really we are missing our best batsman in a WC look at Jayawardene & how he is carrying his team without idiotic shots should be there & shame on youngsters not stepping up to seal their spots unlike the gangulys and Dravids who made the best of their chances

Seriously. He is sporting an injury ffs. And if we have to time and again go back to a 38 year old everytime our youngsters fail, then let's stop calling ourselves a cricketing nation. Almost wish Sachin never played like he did in the IPL. Should have just pocketed the million like Yuvraj did without contributing anything. Then atleast we won't have retards who call themselves indian cricket fans moan and whine and pass the blame onto him because our overfed and overpaid boys couldn't do the job.
