Asim Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 Although at the end of the day Pakistan and India are exactly in same scenario but I think Indian chances to qualify are a lot brighter than Pak because: 1. The other match they are depending, for Ind (Wi vs AUS), it looks it will easily go in their favor but for Pak (Eng vs NZ) anything can happen. 2. SL is not that tough opposition for Ind what SA is for Pak.
mastana Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 Both deserve to go out of this T20 WC. Asian teams can't play short pitched balls. We are FTB's.
Asim Posted May 9, 2010 Author Posted May 9, 2010 Jinxing even here :haha: Not really because I also mentioned the facts which are quite straight forward... Dont you agree?
Ultimate_Game Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 Not quite... I see it the other way round. I think Pak have a better chance as Pak only has to win the game - their run-rate is quite good. India not only has to win but also has to ensure they beat SL by at least 21 runs and at the same time hope aussies don't rest their starters and Gayle doesn't play a blinder. That being said I don't see either India or Pak in semis

HowardRoark Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 pakistan dosent just have to win the game they have to hope for a newzeland defeat as well He just said that the margin of defeat is not consequential for Pak and hence it is simpler for them.

HowardRoark Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 Yes but what went truely against Pak is the other game we are depending' date=' Eng ofcourse wont take that strongly and NZ will put everything into it, secondly (rather firstly) [b']do you feel Pak can even beat SA? ;) Possible with spin.
Mamu Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 What good is that going to be ? Get into Semis and then what? Get our *****e$ handed over to us in a platter? We might as well sit back and watch some quality cricket -- without these 2 idiots in there!
cricket786 Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 It's easier for India actually because India has to also rely on Aussies defeating Windies which is more likely than us relying on Eng beating NZ that too without KP.
kabira Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 well both don't deserve to go into semis. Australians have been great, England have played great cricket. So these two teams deserver for sure. Ofcourse England were very close to getting knocked out against Ireland. so its funny, so newzealand, Lanka, windies, SA, none of them deserve to go to semi too.
Asim Posted May 9, 2010 Author Posted May 9, 2010 Frankly speaking at leats one of us should go into Semis... infact Final...
HowardRoark Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 It's easier for India actually because India has to also rely on Aussies defeating Windies is more likely than us relying on Eng beating NZ that too without KP. but the important part is to win our remaining matches, which is easier for Pakistan as any margin would do.
asterix Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 ICC will like to have WI atleast go to Semifinals.. Good for the crowd and good for the WICB to get some decent earnings.. Good for the ICC event too..
kabira Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 ^Aussies have score to settle, last tiem windies kicked them out, this time they will return the favor. :winky:
StriKe Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 If both team goes into semi final then the result will be easy predictable Will be interesting if both doesn't get into semis
cricket786 Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 but the important part is to win our remaining matches' date=' which is easier for Pakistan as any margin would do.[/quote'] for us the margin doesnt matter but then what are the chances Eng will do well against NZ when KP's not playing and besides, Eng doesnt even have to bother much about that match theyre already thru to the semis. so that's where the real problem lies for us after we beat SA (if we do that is). for you guys the margin does matter but then looking at the way the Aussies have been playing, they may just pound WI too, so you guys don't have to worry about that much. I guess it's even in a sense.
cricket786 Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 and what are our chances of beating SA, seriously? that itself is going to be difficult. Though I can see India beating SL, regardless..especially after today.
