I watched the champions league 2009 cricket trmnt, which NSW won in HD here in U.S. It took place in India. The games were recorded and telecasted in HD in many places. So were the recently conducted semi final and final of IPL. Directv channel 101 showed them in HD from India, so definately some channel was carrying HD signal in INdia around that time.
