What would India have to do to become contenders for 50 over - 2011 world cup? 1. make sure that IPL 4 is not held just before the world cup tourney starts. It could be held after the world cup. This is most important. With the league having an additional 2 teams the stress will be more. And the teams would be thinner in terms of talent resulting in more cow-lashing success. 2. Hold training camps for bowlers, especially our trundlers to learn the art of bowling yorkers and accurate short balls. Training done, should be similar to the old chinese kung fu training they showed in the movies :hitler: 3. Hold training camps for batsmen especially for short balls and dilscoops. Here too old movie style kung fu traiining to be used. 4. Make sure we select 3 trundlers in every game instead of 2. 5. Send Jadeja to a psychiatrist FIRST before even thinking of putting him him in the 30 probables list. Hi nightmares would be worse than Warne's, thousand times over. 6. Allow Sachin to do whatever he wants to do, allow him to play what match he wants and sit for what match he wants. Just make sure he is fit for the world cup. 7. Send Yuvraj SIngh to weight loss clinic, let him lose weight first. On a more serious note.... :dontknow:

its been played in india. that is the biggest factor in making us the favorite to win the cup. expect to see us pile up scores of over 400 on a regular basis.

our captain has to stop knocking down our bowling in public. Our captain needs to think about taking wickets and stop relying on our mighty batting to deliver everytime.

IMO, lets change the captain if we want to enter the semis atleast

not worried about the 2011 world cup at all. india will absolutely smash every single team they play on their home soil in these 50 over contests. the only real threat, as always, comes from australia. basically its between india and australia for 2011 world cup. other teams may as well go home now

Gambir probably... If Raina does well in Zim, may be we should give it a try.. He did well for Chennai in the two matches
Right, so replacing Dhoni with Gambhir or Raina (on the back of a couple of IPL games) will turn us into world beaters. OK then.

lets annex bangladesh sri lanka and pakistan !!!! that way we might have a half decent cricket team :dontknow:
So cricket is only T20I cricket now? Test and ODIs not considered cricket any longer? :dontknow:

Aussies have completely reinvented their limited overs team after losing to Saffers' date=' home and away. Watson has taken over Hayden's role with great appetite and relish! They've got plenty of other power hitters in the mix. Funnily, in ODIs, Punter and Pup have become their weakest link. Saffers have unfortunately regressed since their series victory over Aussies. England is another team on the up but tend to heavily underperform in the subcontinent. Sri Lanka blow hot and cold. These four teams will challenge our 2011 campaign.[/quote'] sri lanka and south africa are jokezzz india smashed both of them at home. no contest. england arent any better, india beat them 5-0. the only challenge comes from australia. they always play well in india.
