are these pointless ranking you keep refering to post-2000? if that is the case pakistan wouldn't get even close. But I reckon back in the 90s they were consistently in the top 3 and in the 80s they were the only team to challenge WI.

Yes, well done. India has drawn three series against australia in the last 70 years. Super stuff. FTR Pakistan is just as bad as india and the other sub continental teams. Great at home but pathetic away. The only reason I respect pakistan cricket is that they seem to have had some great fast bowlers.

Why don't you check the performance against OZ and SA ? They have won just 1 series against OZ and SA in last 20 years.

are you sure they've done better? they have managed to beat sri lanka in india but they have been poor (as per normal) away from home in sri lanka. pakistan is the other way around. both teams are pathetic most of the time though. true champion sides can win no matter what the conditions are like. Indian team should really be called the 'no 1 team team in indian conditions'.

yes it's far less worse but still quite pathetic.. I consider this era to be one without a true champion side. sort of like how it was back in the early 70s. and Australia/England have the depth to become the next great side in the world. should be a good tussle betwen these two countries over the next few years. India I'm afriadwill have to do a whole lot better away from home to be even considered..

yup India have lost the last 2 series in Sri Lanka. In other words India haven't won a series in SL for over a decade...SL were the whipping boys before the 96 WC so I don't know how much weight can be given to results before that time.this is further proven by the fact that even india beat sri lanka (this was an indian team that was going through a 14 year period without a single victory outside of india and sri lanka (even zim beat them)).

They have been poor recently. but I believe the depth is there to become the best side in the world again. India i'm afraid will struggle with their lack of depth in batting after the big 4 retire and the quality of their 'pace' attack.

IND is no.1 . We don't need chance. And even at your peak from 1995-2008 IND- OZ record is WON-10 LOST -10 DRAW-6 So we are going to beat any of your side.No Bucknor.
