satyam1729 Posted May 20, 2010 Posted May 20, 2010 They have been poor recently. but I believe the depth is there to become the best side in the world again. India i'm afraid will struggle with their lack of depth in batting after the big 4 retire and the quality of their 'pace' attack. Sehwag and Gambhir will carry India. And who are your batting hopes? Ponting will also retire.
Guest OriginalPrince Posted May 20, 2010 Posted May 20, 2010 IND is no.1 . We don't need chance. And even at your peak from 1995-2008 IND- OZ record is WON-10 LOST -10 DRAW-6 So we are going to beat any of your side.No Bucknor. That is an amazing record considering how dominant Australia was over India in Australia. Sorry, this indian team has potential but they are in no way the undisputed no 1 side in the world like WI and AUS teams were. they're not even close.
Guest OriginalPrince Posted May 20, 2010 Posted May 20, 2010 Sehwag and Gambhir will carry India. And who are your batting hopes? Ponting will also retire. Australia has no worries in the batting or bowling departments. ponting is struggling a bit now anyway, he will be missed but not by that much. just look at the australian players' performances in the ipl. there are no worries at all. infact i think IPL will help the aussie players when they come over for tests as well..

Who is saying it? And OZ have been dominant only in 2000. And India repaid back in 2008. And out of those 6 draws 2 were certain Indian victory that were spoiled by rain in Chennai and Sydney.

In ODI you have a very good team.
Guest OriginalPrince Posted May 20, 2010 Posted May 20, 2010 Lol i don't see a single good Aussie batsman in test. In ODI you have a very good team. there's plenty..marsh, watson, clarke who are only in their mid to late 20s. australians usually make their debut late so there's nothing to worry about.

India have done well but there is no no1 team in the world right now. rankings don't mean anything. i remeber back in early 2000s we actually lost our no1 ranking to SA! this was when we were winning everything in sight.

But you have to live with it. Yes i too remember that. But SA was also a pretty good side then. They defeated you at home in 2001.

Marsh, Watson, clarke are not even close to Gambhir and Sehwag. And Watson is an average player of spin. Our main problem will be bowling.

Clarke was pretty pathetic in SA though. Clarke is scoring centuries when match has already been lost.
satyam1729 Posted May 20, 2010 Posted May 20, 2010 http://www.cricinfo.com/ausvwi09/content/story/436512.html Even many Aussies agree that clarke is over rated.
Guest OriginalPrince Posted May 20, 2010 Posted May 20, 2010 Clarke was pretty pathetic in SA though. Clarke is scoring centuries when match has already been lost. he has done superbly over this summer. there are no worries about the australian batting.

satyam1729 Posted May 20, 2010 Posted May 20, 2010 he has done superbly over this summer. there are no worries about the australian batting. Against Pak and WI. :haha::hysterical:
satyam1729 Posted May 20, 2010 Posted May 20, 2010 people dislike him because he is a beckham wannabe but there is no doubting his ability. We saw his ability in T20 WC.
Guest OriginalPrince Posted May 20, 2010 Posted May 20, 2010 We saw his ability in T20 WC. well that was no surprise. he is a poor t20 player. one of the worst in the world. but cricket australia doesnt really care much for t20s so he can stay on as captain and get some training for when ponting retires.

OK. I read somewhere you claiming that Pak of 90s would thrash India. I say Sehwag would force those joke bowlers into retirement. Checked the average of Waqar, Wasim, shoaib against India.
