THX_1138 Posted May 18, 2010 Posted May 18, 2010 We wont be playing australia for some time and neither is Jayasuriya his old self... so i think we can bring him back with impunity. He really could inspire some life into our insipid attack.
Lord Posted May 18, 2010 Posted May 18, 2010 yeah right,he should be back n i'm serious.he cant be worse than what we've got.hes got a good yorker n can be handy in death overs.can also contribute in fielding n batting. plus hes got a pretty good record in India.certainly has a case

He really could inspire some life into our insipid attack. You do him great injustice my friend. Ajit Agarkar bowled one of the greatest spells by an Indian bowler in all Test matches at Adelaide in 2003 and was more instrumental in India winning the Test than Dravid who got the man of the match award.

Exactly.. Though he might not be economical, he's a much effective than our so called pace bowlers and deserves a chance in the national side.

BTW There was only one test match played in Adelaide in that series :--D. And on a serious note myes he should be back, he is still quick enough, and is also skiddy, he has also called me to get some tips Dear Gaurav, I have been practicing hard in the domestic circuit and also doing well in all possible games that i play.I have done remarkably well in the Ranji Trophy and in the other domestic games,I have not lost my pace, i still have my swing going nicely, i get my yorkers right, i have a deadly bouncer that skids on quickly to the batsman, i have reduced giving 4 boundary balls in an over to just 2 in a 4-day game (that is 50% improvement), i have never shied away from putting effort in every delivery stride, but still i am nowhere near the Indian team.Whereas on the other hand, some other tall lanky bowlers with long hairs(i don't want to name any specific one), who bowls 3-4 boundary balls in an over are selected over me on numerous occasions, Why? Is this justice to me ?Now you tell me, what should i do ? Ajit Agarkar Reply Dear Sir Eggy, Well Sir Eggy, you are a legend, a marvelous cricketer. The only advice i can give you is,try and shift yourself to some other franchise(especially CSK), They need a good fast bowler, and you will get more opportunities to play there as well.Even though you are paid less, or even nothing, just go and play for CSK.Also don't forget to praise Cheeka and also Dhoni and his captaincy after every game. That will result in you being a part of the playing XI every time. And from there on, give your 100% that would just make it a little easier for you to get into the national side.Till then, its good luck to you Full article Here :winky:
SJS50 Posted May 18, 2010 Posted May 18, 2010 BTW There was only one test match played in Adelaide in that series :--D. :winky: Well spotted although all that is missing is a couple of commas. Here is the correction . . . "You do him great injustice my friend. Ajit Agarkar bowled one of the greatest spells by an Indian bowler , in all Test matches , at Adelaide in 2003 and was more instrumental in India winning the Test than Dravid who got the man of the match award." :)

nballa Posted May 18, 2010 Posted May 18, 2010 End of over no 1 - 10 runs. SL 10/0 0.1 - 0 runs - that was a peach. it jagged back in sharply beating jayawardena all ends up. the batsman can just nod in appreciation 0.2 - 0 runs - agarkar is making the ball talk here, that one pitched on middle and straightened missing the edge by a whisker 0.3 - 4 runs - short and wide and slashed away towards the boundary where nehra dives all over the ball. agarkar is not happy with the effort 0.4 - 4 runs - four again, slow bouncer pulled away towards the boundary with ease. 0.5 - 0 runs - terrific yorker, jayawardena just about manages to get his bat on that one. phew. 0.6 - 2 runs - clipped away to midwicket, zaheer is not the best of the outfielders and the batsmen manage to come back for two The essense of Agarkar. 4 unplayable deliveries and two sitters per over.
hari504504 Posted May 19, 2010 Posted May 19, 2010 He should play in the WC 2011...he will be very handy with both bat and ball.... our new ball bowlers are not exactly setting the world alight... he can walk in right now...
UmarAkmal Posted May 19, 2010 Posted May 19, 2010 Agarkar is better than all fast bowlers currently playing for India so he deserves another chance.
