Then I thought it better to write at the beginning of the new season rather than at the end of the last season. Congratulations on your performance last season. What was most impressive was the way you batted alone when the others around you were not contributing much. Keep it up. Also please do not neglect your studies. PS: Don't be disappointed at not getting the Best Junior Cricketer award from BCA. If you look at the past award winners, you will find one name missing and that person has not done badly in Test cricket!! :hatsoff:

I've seen many fans openly admit on the 'Padosi site' that most of their cricketers, bar a very few, can't read or write English. And even if they have a little education, that's probably in Urdu. Most of them come from poor backgrounds and hardly have any education at all. My brother once told me that Abdul Razzaq used to be a vegetable vendor (sabzi wala) in his early days. Mohammad Yousuf's father worked as a sweeper in the Lahore railways station, and his family was so poor that Yousuf had to play cricket with a ping-pong ball because his father couldn't afford a tennis ball. At present, Salman Butt is the only one who can speak good English, which is extremely rare among Pak cricketers of the modern generation.

And I mean the absolute worst. I believe even Praveen Kumar and Harbhajan Singh will end up performing far better than him with the bat, given that they concentrate on their batting alone.
