don_corleone840 Posted May 26, 2010 Author Posted May 26, 2010 IMO RK's best was Mera Naam Joker. Great movie. Apart from that Awara was a great movie. It was after Mera Naam Joker bombed big time at the box office that RK decided to go outright commercial. Thats when he conceived Bobby. Bobby may not look like great after all these years, but it was landmark movie in setting the tone for Bollywood's teenage romance stories. It was the first one of it's kind and and appealed to the teenagers and adults alike. RK was quite a visionary as a director. Mera Naam Joker was clearly ahead of it's time. I consider it as one of the best from Bollywood. i am not sure.bobby was clearly better than mnj.

The way he opens up to the kabootar and pours out his feelings towards his true love suman had my eyes welled up with tears. more emotionally powerful scenes, i haven't seen in cinema ever. Only thing I'd agree with you would be that Suman was one off a kind and no other actresses hasbeen able to emulate the same naiveness and hotness ever after :cantstop: she is/was my first love :giggle:
