shah2kool Posted May 19, 2010 Posted May 19, 2010 Hi, Can someone confirm which channel is showing the India v Sri Lanka v Zimbabwe Series in the UK? Have checked most of the asian channel and am yet to see any adverts or anything. Thanks
Gunner_Mania Posted May 19, 2010 Posted May 19, 2010 Don't think sky is covering it. Who is covering in India? If it is Neo/ESS then may be it will be on sky. If not it is likely to be on one of the Asian channels.
WeStMiDz Posted May 19, 2010 Posted May 19, 2010 I'm sure Sky have only got the rights for India's home games so doubt they would have much interest in this low profile series.
shah2kool Posted May 20, 2010 Author Posted May 20, 2010 If it's on Ten Sports then I guess it would be on ZEE in UK, though there has been NO confirmation from anyone!
Gunner_Mania Posted May 26, 2010 Posted May 26, 2010 ZEE Network has acquired exclusive UK and Europe cricket rights featuring team India for throughout the summer season, BizAsia.co.uk can confirm. The four series' confirmed, which will be shown on premium channel, ZEE Cinema (pictures of sister station TEN Sports) are: - May: Tri-series featuring India, Sri Lanka and the host nation Zimbabwe - June: India vs. Zimbabwe in two Twenty 20s - July: India vs. Sri Lanka test series - August: Triangular series between Sri Lanka, India and New Zealand ZEE Cinema's coverage begins on Friday 28th May in Africa with Zimbabwe, India and Sri Lanka playing seven ODI matches. This will be followed with two T20s between India and Zimbabwe on 12th and 13th June. Then India vs. Sri Lanka will feature in three test series, which will be broadcast from Saturday 10th July, with Monday 2nd August seeing the start of seven ODIs featuring Sri Lanka, India and New Zealand. ZEE Network UK has of late become a serious contender bidding for Asian cricket, fuelling speculation that the launch of ZEE Sports or TEN Sports in the UK is on the anvil. Last year, the channel successfully aired the Pakistan tour of Zimbabwe cricket and this year the Hockey World Cup. "We want to give our subscribers more, but not just more of the same; we want to give them content that connects with their passion and cricket does just that. We have secured cricket for not just the coming months but the coming years, to cater for cricket fans," said Govind Shahi, Business Head, ZEE Europe. http://media247.co.uk/bizasia/newsarchive/2010/05/zee_network_acq_9.php
