Sure. Wait for Satyam to show up. And I'm sure you will concede that cricketers have a lot to learn from the Dravid's, Tendulkars, Mark Taylor's of the game coz its a given that they've heard a lot themselves all their life. Sachin for one, heard a lot during his virgin tour to Pakistan. Did he whine? No.

The issue has been discussed to death on the forums already - the bottom line being that calling someone a monkey does not carry any racial connotations in India. It's a classic case of imposing Western standards on another society.

Yeah. Calling someone a bastard in India can get you killed. But Brad Hogg saw only the funny side of the story. Also, I don't mind "influence". It is HYPOCRITICAL IMPOSING that I'm vociferously against. Eg- I like Andy Flower's method of "strength development for his lads". I don't like Aussie and English players lecturing us about behaviour.

I know India would probably be the best place to play due to the passion of the fans, its the same passion which leads to occasional bad crowd behaviour. Look at the 96WC semi final.

Bad behaviour is everywhere. There is nothing called "more bad or less bad". Its either GOOD or BAD. India is amongst the "GOOD". And I guess the operative word "occasional" makes it crystal-clear :bow:

I have been to wankhede many times and there was not a single comment that was aimed at the cricketers' cast, race or color. I agree there are many disgusting comments but that is part and parcel of a large crowd. IIRC, Wankhede's capacity is around 40-42k but the cops would let another 3-5k in by charging them under the table. None of the matches in Wankhede were conducted in a organizational manner, police would use laathis, shut the gate and make the large crowd stand outside despite carrying tickets (thank god for internal connections and me not going through that ****), I guess this is what riles up the crowd and then vent out their frustration on players if say India is doing bad. I am not saying this is the sole reason why crowd use disturbing comments but it's the same treatment you get to what you offer them. Of course the stadium organizers are behind the scenes and players are the only "approachable" person for the crowd to vent out their frustration. I think its high time crowd are respected in India, because watching the games at stadia in India with your family is simply impossible and way too embarrassing.

LOL! I might buy what you said about comment on Dhillon, but Indians are way too 'fair skin centric'.
