In the current political world American President in one of the most powerful international leaders and for the same reason who becomes next American President is a relevant question for people everywhere in the world not just America. The current top runners are Democrats: Hillary Clinton Barack Obama John Edwards Republicans McCain Gulianni Mit Romney Who do you think will make it to the next level?

Giuliani is undoubtedly the front runner, but he is more of a libertarian in the sense that his policies on social issues are very liberal (ie; he is for gay rights and for abortion, etc.) even though he may be economically and politically conservative. That won't sit too well with the evangelicals in the deep South - voters from the midwest and south tend to vote on values and morals first and foremost, and whether they will be willing to endorse a candidate like Giuliani is very questionable. Giuliani also lacks experience - he has been a mayor, but never a member of the senate. John McCain has the experience but is a bit of a dullard, and at 70 i don't think people will take too well to him. He had his chance back in '00 and lost out to Bush. After 8 years of tolerating the Republican party, with the Iraq war going down the sh*tter and public opinion on the Bush admin at an all-time low, I can definitely see a Democrat winning in '08. Disgruntled Republicans up north may even vote for a Hilary or an Obama if a big enough carrot is dangled before them.

They find the guy immoral. bigotry runs amok amongst republicans. james dobson and his focus on the family bullsh*t are all pro-newt gengrich, a man who had an affair while lighting a fire under clinton's feet for having one. gulliani wont receive the support of the ultra conservatives and thus might not be the primary candidtate. i expect romney or maybe some other candidate to secure that support.
