Gunner_Mania Posted January 26, 2011 Author Posted January 26, 2011 ****ing hell. Blackpool couldn't defend a 2-goal lead for the last 20-odd minutes? :- Didnt watch the game so dont know for sure. This is just based on hear say..apparently Blackpool were denied a nailed on pen at 2-0 and then Man Utd score 3 after that.
jindaldhruv Posted January 26, 2011 Posted January 26, 2011 Didnt watch the game so dont know for sure. This is just based on hear say..apparently Blackpool were denied a nailed on pen at 2-0 and then Man Utd score 3 after that. Yeah they were. And a very clear penalty it was. But then the ref had to please Ferguson, didn't he? *roll eyes* :wall: Liverpool up tonight against Fulham. Anybody watching the game?
hari504504 Posted January 26, 2011 Posted January 26, 2011 Very small bet. Didn't expect them to win' date= just put it on coz its Utd and they love late come backs > $50 would be a huge pay-day considering it doesn't happen often
jindaldhruv Posted January 27, 2011 Posted January 27, 2011 Up to 7th in the table. :D Only looking up now, the confidence is back in the team.
Sachin=GOD Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 Gary Neville has retired from football with immediate effect. A United legend :hatsoff::hatsoff:
hari504504 Posted February 3, 2011 Posted February 3, 2011 ^ about time. He has been quite ordinary over the past few seasons. he should have called it a day about 2 years ago
King Tendulkar Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 ^ about time. He has been quite ordinary over the past few seasons. he should have called it a day about 2 years ago he has been quite ordinary since he was 17
hari504504 Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 ^^ Also true, lets just say he got 'relatively more ordinary' :haha: Was always a Roy Keane wannabe ..with all the fake aggression. Should never have been captain IMO
Sachin=GOD Posted February 5, 2011 Posted February 5, 2011 he has been quite ordinary since he was 17 ^^ Also true, lets just say he got 'relatively more ordinary' :haha: Was always a Roy Keane wannabe ..with all the fake aggression. Should never have been captain IMO best right back in England in the last 20 years. Period.
Andy Posted February 5, 2011 Posted February 5, 2011 best right back in England in the last 20 years. Period. ++ Angur Khatte Hote hain. :winky:
hari504504 Posted February 5, 2011 Posted February 5, 2011 Gary Neville = Darling of the armchair Man Utd fans. No pace, not exceptional in deffence, not a great passer of the ball, couldnt go forward, abysmal goal scoring record- even for a rightback, should have retired 4 years ago. In 85 games he played for England the most memorble thing he did was score an own goal. Bennefited from having an attitude that Alex Fergurson fantasises over, being David Beckhams mate and the fact there was just no one else around. You could have put any half decent right back in that side and he would have done just the same job. He was nowhere near the class of Cafu or Javier Zaneti. To top it off he seemed like a complete and utter tool. Couldn't sum it up any better than that
Andy Posted February 5, 2011 Posted February 5, 2011 Couldn't sum it up any better than that Well Yes true he was not as good as the Zanettis and Cafus. But still how many were or are as good as them. Hust as you have brought on an article or a Post degrading Gary, I can bring in some gloryfying Gary... And as ai said before do not ix up Club football and international football. Both are different ball games all together.
Sachin=GOD Posted February 5, 2011 Posted February 5, 2011 Couldn't sum it up any better than that Gary Neville as an individual was not very, very talented but he more than made it up with some other outstanding qualities. In one line - he was greater than the sum of his parts. This is from another forum: He was a right back... what more does a right back need to have than defend well, attack well, have a good delivery into the box but crucially for a defender be consistent? Fullbacks weren't/aren't the most naturally gifted of players so by calling Neville world class it doesn't mean he's got to be Zidane on the ball, have the vision of Paul Scholes or the goal scoring ability of Ronaldo. What more can a fullback do than Gary Neville did for United in his pomp? The answer is nothing else which is why he was never replaced. Did he defend well? Yes, extremely well. Much better than most fullbacks in the game currently as they're generally failed wingers. Did he attack well? One of the best I've ever seen. Not because he would beat a man or go on a mazy run like Evra does but because all that was needed was a overlapping run and a good ball into the box. His delivery from out wide was far superior to any fullback in the league currently. Did he run up and down the wing for 90 minutes? Check. Did he have consistency? He was named after it. You then add on the fact he did this for 10 years. At one of the best clubs in Europe and for a period of three years probably THE best team in Europe. As right backs go there were few better. The ones you could list are Cafu & Zanetti.... not exactly bad company to be amongst but when your name is Gary Neville, you look like a tw*t, you act like a tw*t and you don't play in the glamorous league of the time (Serie A) you don't get the recognition you deserve.
