CSK Fan Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 Whats with Pak captains getting injured before Aus series?
Hur Rizvi Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 Insha Allah he will get well ...It is only a minor side strain
Gotham Cronie Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 Barely a week before the start of the Test series against Australia The first test doesn't start until the 13th... :hmmm:
achilles Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 Shoaib dropped again? vav. How intelligent, guys? You pick someone, he plays two games, does well in one and he's out. Nice. Good going.
Pioneer Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 Shoaib dropped again? vav. How intelligent' date=' guys? You pick someone, he plays two games, does well in one and he's out. Nice. Good going.[/quote'] Afridi said he doesn't want to use Shoaib in tests, to prolong whats left of him
achilles Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 Afridi said he doesn't want to use Shoaib in tests' date=' to prolong whats left of him[/quote'] So whose going to handle the bowling with Aamer?
Sir john Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 pak team is weak, they did't have fire power to beat mighty australia?
imran666 Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 So whose going to handle the bowling with Aamer? umar gul m.asif or wahab raiz
Desi Cartman Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 bowling wise they are still ok but batting would be a bigger problem. I expect them to get out for less than 150 a few times ... Its stupid not to play YK and M Yusuf when they are available, if Afridi is thinking that Shoaib Malik and butt can win tests against Aussies then he is probably sharing Asif's joint
bihutoli Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 What scare? He was hardly a permanent fixture in the Pakistani test team. It's strange, he eats a cricket ball on the pitch and suddenly becomes Pakistan's MVP for all formats. He is made captain for a format he retired from when he was still 16.

I think the fact that it's a scare if he doesn't play reflects on how much more pathetic the rest of the squad is that the selectors picked than on how much they expect Afridi to score.
Cricket_Guru Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 if afridi gets injured or doesnt play in tests due to other reasons, then pakistan stands no chance for even being competitive with aus and eng. but if afridi does play, and performs, the awards of ICC are waiting for him in september, probably a candidate for odi player of the year. player of the year is also in reach for this guy
jusarrived Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 Afridi is useless for tests anyway , his absence shouldn't make any difference
Hur Rizvi Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 Insha Allah afridi will play first test against Aussies And his test stats are not bad .... Bat ave above 37 more than that of yuvraj Bowling strike rate of 65 better than kaneria
Hur Rizvi Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 So whose going to handle the bowling with Aamer? Asif , Aamer ,gul , kaneria , Afridi
jusarrived Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 Insha Allah afridi will play first test against Aussies And his test stats are not bad .... Bat ave above 37 more than that of yuvraj Bowling strike rate of 65 better than kaneria care to tell us his stats outside subcontinent ?
DomainK Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 Insha Allah afridi will play first test against Aussies And his test stats are not bad .... Bat ave above 37 more than that of yuvraj Bowling strike rate of 65 better than kaneria OMG....I didnt know that. That has to be ultimate proof of performance.:nervous:
saneindian Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 Asif ' date=' Aamer ,gul , kaneria , Afridi[/quote'] And the batting will be Butt, Farhat, Hammed, Malik and Akmals..It will be a great achievement for your team if they could bat 90+ overs even in one inning on this tour.
Hur Rizvi Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 care to tell us his stats outside subcontinent ? http://stats.cricinfo.com/ci/engine/player/42639.html?class=1;continent=3;continent=4;continent=5;filter=advanced;orderby=default;template=results;type=allround Averages 35.66 wid the bat and 50.11 wid the ball Although bowling average is not great but he is an allrounder not a genuine spinner and his bowling is much improved now
