Sir john Posted June 28, 2010 Posted June 28, 2010 Yes,it is true. Tunnel ki lambai karib 8.7 km hai,jo pure asia main sabse jayda unchai pe hai. Rohtang pass ko 12 mahine khula rakhne ke liye ish tunnel ka nirman suru ho gaya hai,2015 tak tunnel ka kaam pura ho jayega. Sarra nirman BRO karega.
meloveindia Posted June 28, 2010 Posted June 28, 2010 I was at Rohtang pass just 1 month back, wonder where could you lay a tunnel at that place - and which place to which place? Trains dont go till Rohtang (Manali) - so it has to be a road runnel its breathtaking scenery but roads are pathetic, it took 4 hours to reach Rohtang from Manali l (51 kms) - they need to work up on better roads there some pics ... Beas River (that runs thro Punjab) originates from Rohtang pass, marked in the 1st pic. is the place where it originates - its just a trickle of water there underground due to melting glaciers view of the mountains while going to Rohtang
Sir john Posted June 28, 2010 Author Posted June 28, 2010 My village near beas river. It is for army use,to make supply of all things to army throughout the whole year.
