Its sad that almost all our bowlers showed promise in bowling 90+mph deliveries. But they end up as trundlers.......:(( But when you look at the bowlers worldwide, not a single bowler has lost his pace regardless :banghead:

Skills matter. Pace is a skill. Other skills can be just as lethal. Good for Tait. He will feast on the Pakistani batsmen in the upcoming series.

first wicket was a peach, great to watch. hope he gets more consistent. he's a rare find but doesnt play too frequently. cricket needs more talent like him.

^Eff off. Its Aus bowlers (Nannes,Johnson,Tait,Bollinger,Harris) v/s Themselves. All of them touches 90 mph on a regular basis.

Awesome pace, awesome bowling. It isnt often that a fast bowler makes a winning difference in an ODI with this pace, but Shaun Tait did in this series and how. Extreme pace in ODIs is generally a liability, especially with the vacant spots in the slip cordon and the fielding restrictions, but Tait was the difference b/w England and Australia in the last 3 ODIs. Btw, dunno how many here followed the cricket, but if you're to believe the speed gun readings, Tait was not just fast, he was incredibly quick. There wasnt just this odd 95 mph ball every now and then, he averaged 95 mph in most of his first spells. Thats simply amazing! I dont think I have seen a bowler bowl that fast, that consistently, in a long, long time.

Tait is so over - rated. You can't bowl that kind of speeds in a test match, hence he is used in short bursts. As for limited overs cricket, I lost count of how many injuries he had.

Watched the replay. ****ing amazing stuff. Forget the speed guns - what was noteworthy was that when Yardy came out to bat at 3, he could barely see the ball. He didn't offer a shot to a straight ball from Tait, and his reaction suggested he couldn't even pick it up at that pace. Shoaib and Lee may have similar numbers on a speed gun, but they've rarely ever produced a spell where multiple batsmen are that late on the ball, or struggle to even sight it.

some of the english bowlers are quite quick as well. but ur right, australia is in a class of its own when it comes to fast bowlers. this lot can be genuinely called the quickest of all time. even faster than WI bowlers of the 70s and 80s. Can india at least produce a single 135+k bowler???:haha:
