And for what? How many match-winning performances have we had? He is simply not a test grade player. Never has and never while be - just look at the career stats. Yuvraj has played some quality innings in the past. To quote a random from memory example, it is not easy to face opponents, whose players constantly have a chirp at you and try to distract you, knowing your penchant for giving it back, losing your concentration, your opportunity to get a big score. These instances, coupled with the impatience among the people, tends to work as a motivation factor for players like Yuvraj. They hate NOT being the biggest story of a series, a match or a session. Add to that, if Zaheer and Harbhajan can get a 50 when Yuvi can't, it obviously plays on his mind and makes him focus. Like with Mendis, who epicly pwned him during the Asia/Kitply Cup last year. People raised a lot of questions about Yuvraj's temperament and he proved them wrong by working very hard with more than 2 of the best spinners India has produced and went back to SL and showed Mendis who was the boss. He even said this in the media. He did this when England toured India for Tests. And he's done it very often all his career. The reason Yuvraj continues to hold a high opinion amongst Indian people is cause of his resilience. He scored a 50 in the 1st inng when many batters failed, but couldn't continue to make good use of his form. He has the potential and this series, he should make it count.

Murali Vijay, Rohit Sharma and Badrinath are any day better than Pujara. If I had my way, I would play Murali Vijay instead of Yuvraj, and actually play him at #3 or 5. Dravid should come at 5/6. That would give more solidity to the lower order.
