This is laughable. I have been keeping an eye peeled out for Hawkeye's mess-ups. And I did not have to wait long. Rangana Herath's first over to Dravid in the second innings. An arm ball pitching at around middle stump and not really straightening. That ball would most definitely have missed leg stump. The players knew it. The umpire knew it. But clearly nobody told Hawkeye. Because it showed the ball hitting the leg stump - smack. Not merely brushing or kissing it either. Enough said.

5th over, 3rd ball. Herath to Dravid. There was absolutely no way that the ball would have struck leg stump. Not so according to Hawkeye.

And guess what? For some reason the 5th over and 3rd ball is not available for review at Cricinfo's Hawkeye page!!! Make what you will of that. I will try to see if they make it available after some time.

There was only one loud appeal - albeit stifled immediately. Herath to Dravid. Cricinfo scorecard shows that Dravid was struck on the pad. But Hawkeye does not show the visuals on Cricinfo! It was an arm ball and would have absolutely certainly missed leg stump. Why certainly? Because Dravid was showing his leg stump when he got struck on the pad....

Australia vs Pakistan. Pakistan 1st innings - 5th over 4th ball, Hilfenhaus bowling. Raps the batsman on the pad. Going down. Obviously. But Hawkeye shows it brushing the stumps. Its as if Hawkeye believes that the ball and the stumps are two pieces of a magnet and they correspond to south and north poles respectively.

Ah, there you go :). I have given you overs, balls and players. And I have told you a gazillion times that I do not follow cricket on the internet and do not know where to find such content. But I do know that you are well aware of that. In fact everybody in this forum is well aware of your knowledge in this respect. And this post of yours goes to show how you will go to extreme lengths to just deny any allegation or truth when it comes to Hawkeye's mistakes. Keep it up, Bossbhai.

I will tell you a better way to resolve this. It is easier to find highlights of dismisals ... find some clean bowled ones and compare the point of impact with what H/E says on the CI website. Thats the easiest way to settle this.

Try it yourself. I have given an example of exactly such a bowled dismissal in this thread. The Hawkeye on Cricinfo is just plain awful. It is not even as good as the Hawkeye that we see on TV. And yes there is the usual disclaimer on that site.

Well, all I can do is point out. Which is what you have been goading me to do all these days. Rest is upto you. However if I do come across some video sources for the items that I pointed out I will put them in here. But I do know as well as everybody else here that you will be able to get to such footage much faster than me - given that I have no experience with cricket on internet streams. Your choice.

Iam not going to bother unless you explicitly say that you will accept the visuals on H/E. Iam not stupid to keep arguing with you only to be told that but but that is not tru H/e or that it doesnt have a certificate or some such mind numbing pedantry.

Just take a break from typing Bossbhai and read the disclaimer that comes up when you view that Hawkeye visual at Cricinfo.
