What I want to see is where does Bangers go from here. Will they surrender meekly or will they stand up to the firepower that will be thrown in by England in the next game ? I do hope they dont think -- "Oh we have won our quota game for the year".

This is exactly what I have been talking about. I think this is the single biggest difference between Sri Lanka when they were minnows to Bangladesh. They cannot carry their performance from one day to the next. They win one day and the next day they get clobbered.

Have the writers and editors at Cricinfo completely lost their sense of perspective? They termed B’desh win in the 2nd ODI ‘historic’. That’s an extremely strong adjective to describe what is essentially a routine ODI win in a series played between two average ODI sides (England of course, have made leaps and bounds in the last few months, but they still have a long way to go before they can be considered serious ODI threats). This wasn’t a even a World cup or Champions trophy knock out match and neither is England a 4 time world cup winner like Australia. If I were a B’deshi I’d be extremely offended at such a condescending headline. The other way to look at the whole thing is to understand that there’s a general trend of placating and flattering English cricket within cricinfo. English wins are bigged up more than any other wins, even though other teams play have played far more quality than cricket than England in recent years. English players get more than coverage than players from all other nations as well.

Congrats on the victory Bangladesh. You guys have been playing decently but really need to win more matches. 1-2 wins won't be enough on annual basis.
