Roshanrocks Posted July 17, 2010 Posted July 17, 2010 Ponting Said before the test series began "We'll sort Afridi out quickly" http://news.theage.com.au/breaking-news-sport/well-sort-afridi-out-quickly-ponting-20100602-wzig.html Ricky Ponting doubts Shahid Afridi is one of Pakistan's best 11 Test cricketers and reckons he will be rapidly exposed by Australia's pace battery. Afridi's rise to the Test captaincy of his country caused plenty of ripples in his home nation, and Ponting admitted to some surprise at seeing a player so prone to lapses of concentration and discipline assume the role. He also had little doubt that an Australian pace attack of Doug Bollinger, Mitchell Johnson, Ryan Harris and Shane Watson would not take long in demonstrating their methods for dismissing him. DUring the 5th days of the first test.... Afridi retires "permanently" from test cricket. What Ponting the sayeth... Ponting the doeth :hatsoff: Can anyone else doeth the same? :obeyme:
THX_1138 Posted July 17, 2010 Posted July 17, 2010 sorting out afridi at the test level on a pitch that is not flatter than pakistan's economic growth does not take much. use the kuruvilla rule: if abbey kuruvilla can, so can you.
