19.2 Harbhajan to Paranavitana, no run, catch dropped!!, that was a quicker one, Paranavitana looked to play across, gets a leading edge, goes in between the legs of Gambhir at silly point, Oh dear! That was close! Piranha was on 35 . Lets see how much does this cost us.

39.5 Sehwag to Sangakkara, no run, Dropped And it's Dhoni! Sanga shapes to drive and gets an edge, went through quickly and Dhoni couldn't pouch it Sanga was on 65.

56.3 Sharma to Paranavitana, FOUR, cut away in the air and perilously close to Laxman at gully who is clearly late on it as it flies over his head Parana was on 92. I thought this was definitely a chance and you have to convert those to get a break :headshake:

3 chances dropped so far , on a placid track this is criminal. So far it has hurt us by 100+ runs.Doesn't make for a very good reading. Dhoni'a catch was the easiest one of the lot.

Laxmans easier than Dhonis . it went straight to him .
No chance. Laxman's was way faster and tougher than Dhoni's. For Laxman that was a full blooded slice cut. Dhoni's was just as straightforward as they come.

70.2 Mithun to Samaraweera, no run, oh dear, Dravid has dropped a dolly at first slip! Very good ball, bending his back outside the off, that straightened a touch from outside off, Samaraweera fended away without any conviction. The outside edge looped up, stood in air for so long that it was probably too slow for Dravid who dropped it as it came into his lap. Luckily the greatest FTB of all got out for zero in the same over...lbw Mithun :D

106.6 Harbhajan to Malinga, no run, catch dropped!!, that was a half chance, well flighted, Malinga was on the frontfoot, takes the inner half of the bat and the ball lobs up towards short leg, off the bat and then the pads, diving Gambhir could not hold onto that! Malinga was on 11, SL 424/7 Then there have been a number of half chances, one that went through Dravid's hands at gully, and one where Gambhir couldnt hold onto a ball hit straight to him at short leg. All in all a very poor performance on the field in the 1st innings.

Third test match, 1st inning: 15.5 Mithun to Sangakkara, no run, Dropped by Raina! What has he done? It was a length delivery from round the stumps that straightened outside off. Sanga stabbed it to left of Lax at second slip. Laxman went for the catch but Raina, from third slip, lunged out in front of him and clanged it! Mithun lets out a cry of agony. Laxman looks surprised at Raina Sangakkara was batting on 26 then.

West Indies tour of India 2011-12 Third test at Mumbai 50.5 Ashwin to Brathwaite, no run, 79.2 kph, Laxman at backward short leg again. Dropped. This isn't even low or too far from him. Turns in sharply as he looks to defend, the inside edge travels, knee high to Lamxan's right, he gets a hand to it, but it doesn't stick Brathwaite was on 57* 59.3 Sehwag to KA Edwards, 1 run, 71.8 kph, half chance for Kohli at FSL. This seems to have gone straight off the face of the bat, wide of Kohli. Very difficult to take those 70.4 Sehwag to KA Edwards, no run, 74.1 kph, they were excited about a chance down the leg side as Edwards looked to work this to leg. Dhoni failed to catch it. replays show a clear edge. Half chance, but a drop nonetheless Edwards was on 33* 78.3 Ojha to Bravo, 1 run, 89.2 kph, Dravid has dropped one at slip. He hasn't been in great slip form over the last two years, except for the Kolkata Test. This is the straighter one from Ojha, Bravo pushes, gets edge, Dravid is late to react, and is hit on the thumb. Bravo was on 34 4 chances not taken so far. No wonder we are suffering.

Aaron to Samuels, no run, 134.4 kph, Edged and not taken. Aaron's head in his hands. Short of a length, outside off, holds its line, Samuels opens the face, edges. The ball goes low to Dhoni's right. Just about carries, but his fingers close a touch too soon. Half chance, maybe

India - West Indies ODI series

Jadeja to Pollard, no run, 86.1 kph, Gambhir drops it at midwicket, he's had a poor day in the field, this was sitter, Pollard wanted to club that one, can't get hold of it, a thick inside-edge, and it comes to Gambhir chest high, not too fast either, how did he drop that one?
