DomainK Posted July 19, 2010 Posted July 19, 2010 I am thinking of changing my old handset (E71). Right now I am not sure whether to go for the latest iphone or the latest of the Nokia E-series. So, help me compare and decide. Which one of the two is a better smart phone? Here are a few questions I need answered as well: 1. I use quick office regularly. Does iphone come with quick office pre-installed? 2. I have heard that browsing experience on iphone is superb. But can it access local wifi/wlan? 3. How is the music player? 4. How the call quality? 5. I hear it does not record video (not that it matters a lot to me) Any other point I need to take into consideration?

It can access the local wifi, as well as you can get it on edge (or 3g.. soon) Why dont you get a hands-on experience at a nearby store? 3. Music player is good. It's an ipod after all.. syncs with itunes and all that 4. Call quality is also very good. Unfortunately you cant make 3g calls as we dont have 3g yet. 5. It does record video. If you buy the latest one, it does it out of the box, otherwise you need to install an app that does it. I'd recommend waiting for a couple of months as I hear that the iPhone 4 is gonna be launched here sept end.

Also some of the file managers support ftp, sftp - so you can transfers those files using filezilla or any other ftp/sftp client. Quickoffice lets you open/read and write word documents from MobileMe, Dropbox, Google Docs, and Box.net. So, you can store your word files in a dropbox or mobileme account and read and write in quickoffice. You can then share it via wifi or email or upload it back.

StriKe Posted July 21, 2010 Posted July 21, 2010 Go for the HTC Desire or Legend. I do agree with those phone get android os based phone or Nokia N900.If your purpose mainly for office use.

Only slight issue I had when I first got it was unlike BB, the emails are not instant, and you have to physically go into you email account for it to load up you emails. When it comes to apps and entertainment, there seriously is no competitor in the market that can match the Iphone.

How many of these apps are free?
