Clayton Bigsby Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 Dhoni would cry and throw a strop if his mate was dropped
youngindia Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 Romesh Powar by a big margin and Sehwag even though he is not bowled enough to really hone his skills at the top level as every spinner needs. Nope. you are exagerrating romesh powar. flight and all that is fine. but in the end you have to trouble batsmen. top notch international batsmen will not fear powar. he is a ranji champion like dinesh mongia. he was taken off after aussies treated him like a club bowler and the team was able to see he does not cut it vs the best. as for top notch offie, think of prasanna and murali. huge difference.
Ravi. Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 I think R Ashwin must get chance now in test cricket. Bhajji should play domestic cricket to find his form.
Ravi. Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 Sehwag canbe a good bowler but probably he doesnt take it seriously. When our main spinner Bhajji doesnt take it seriously then why would a batsman?
The Realist Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 Give Murali Kartik a go, the guy has been criminally under-used and has been taking a sackload of wickets in county cricket. Powar and Ashwin can be the back-ups. Singh needs to be dropped asap as taking his place for granted. If he cannot be motivated to play for India then India has no place for him.
CSK Fan Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 he was taken off after aussies treated him like a club bowler and the team was able to see he does not cut it vs the best. . In most of the international matches where Bhajji and Powar bowled together, Powar has equalled or bettered Bhajji's performance If you call that treatment as a club bowler, what will you call the treat of Bhajji in hand's of debutants? Powar never had such bad figures

Ranjha Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 I think R Ashwin must get chance now in test cricket. Bhajji should play domestic cricket to find his form. Domestic cricket is one thing. Bhajji wont have trouble picking up wickets against domestic teams on turners. How would that help when bowling at colombo where both teams score 600+?

It got nothing to with cricketing skills.
CSK Fan Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 Why drop singh and why not ojha? Tried and tested failure against a newbie. guess which one to pick?
Ranjha Posted July 30, 2010 Posted July 30, 2010 Tried and tested failure against a newbie. guess which one to pick? Lol a tried and tested failure? hahaha Isn't he the third highest Indian wicket taker? and Kumble retired in 2008 and its 2010, howcome no second spinner has cemented his spot?

Ranjha Posted July 30, 2010 Posted July 30, 2010 Because only very few of them were given opportunity' date=' instead of dropping bhajji, who has become a C grade trundler like rajesh chauhan.[/quote'] How only a few are given opportunity? As far as I know, we only play 2 spinners in subcontinent? Do you have stats of how many test matches each indian spinner has played since kumble retired and what their average is? and if they are outperforming harbhajan? I will accept defeat if you prove it with stats. I would do it but I am a busy man. Unless then I think its your subjective opinion.
King Tendulkar Posted July 30, 2010 Posted July 30, 2010 Because only very few of them were given opportunity' date='instead of dropping bhajji, who has become a C grade trundler like rajesh chauhan.[/quote'] C grade trundeler who took most wickets for India in 2008 and 2009. And who has taken most wickets in tests for spinners since 2008. Anyway keeping posting this blind hate and judging him on the flattest tracks man has seen.
King Tendulkar Posted November 8, 2010 Posted November 8, 2010 I can agree he was under the weather while bowling. But his attitude while batting in both inn lacked any sense or fighting spirit. Is Harbhajan an utter idiot? NO STFU WHINING!:finger:
fineleg Posted November 8, 2010 Author Posted November 8, 2010 Title of that thread is specific to that Test! Anyway dsr on a spree :D
