Lord Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 i'm trying to go to my gmail account or orkut profilr,but wenever i log in i get the following message Your browser's cookie functionality is turned off. Please turn it on. i clicked help n followed the instructions but nothing happens. i'm still not able to open my gmail account.i use the Chrome browser pls help:helpsos:.

Under privacy, click the button "Content settings". Find the check box captioned "Block all third party cookies without exceptions". Make sure that it remains unchecked.

DomainK Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 Also, in chrome, if your cookies are blocked, it will show a small icon at the RH end of the address bar of a cookie with a cross on it: Click on the icon and you it will take you to the cookie management dialog.

DomainK Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 Try this: Go to google.com. Click on "Sign in" on the right top corner and try to sign in. If you succeed, try signing into gmail then.
ludhianvi Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 Some guesses: Maybe you have your firewall/anti-virus program set to not accept cookies...do you have Zone Alarm or such software? Check the settings there. And is this only in chrome or also the same in firefox? And in your screenshot, why does it have 'orkut' in the url? :hmmm: Post a screenshot of this thread with the URL showing as well, with you signed in.

Dark Warrior Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 Try this... -Uninstall Chrome. -Delete all the files, folders, user settings etc.. left behind -Install latest version of Chrome (clean install)

DomainK Posted July 27, 2010 Posted July 27, 2010 Try what Dark Warrior suggested. I kdid a bit of googling and it seems you are not the only one who is facing this problem. There are a lot more and Chrome is yet to give an official solution. May be they will fix the bug in the next upgrade.
