What a great cricket track. Something for everyone. Compliments to the groundsman. Much better then those doctored tracks in england at the moment. Which are way to much in favour of the ball. Any tom dick and harry and seamer could rock up and take wickets there. 2 out of 3 tracks in this series produced results. Last 4 matches in India have all produced results as well. Don't tell these stats to self loathers and sky sports commentary team as they may not understand them!

Yea, the groundsman has got to be appreciated and more importantly this match would have been viewed more on TV than matches like the 2nd test. Hope people in India also prepare pitches like this

+1 It's a sort of lottery on England pitches...Whoever that makes the first mistake has no chance of coming back and end up losing the test. It just becomes damn one sided after the first mistake, regardless of whoever makes it. Tracks like the one we played on in the last test, where there are chances to come back and yet produce a result is the best for test cricket where sessions and days have to be won before winning the test itself.

Its nothing to do with the tracks, its overhead conditions. And England seem to be finding conditions not too bad.

I wouldn't blame the groundsmen in England but the conditions in England do help mediocrities like Stuart Broad and Anderson. Look at their averages after bowling half their lives in England :haha:

The Ashes 2005 was the pinnacle for England, that was like winning the WC, after that it was like we didnt care. Now we are building towards something greater than the ashes. Anyone got any stats on the test match percentage results. As everyone says India tracks are flas etc etc. But would like to know the facts on this. Over the last 5 or 10 years anyone show what percentage of test matches in India which produce results in comparison to say aus and england? Any of you stat masters help in this?
