achilles Posted August 24, 2010 Posted August 24, 2010 Our players could make a Playing XI. Here's my list (Highest to Lowest in terms of verbal & passive aggression)- 1. Sreesanth 2. Harbhajan Singh 3. Zaheer Khan 4. Gautam Gambhir 5. Ishant Sharma 6. Robin Uthappa 7. Virender Sehwag 8. Praveen Kumar 9. Virat Kohli © 10.Dinesh Karthik (WK) 11.Murali Karthik Dhoni is a Pussy. Miss the days of TI under Ganguly when it was an agressive Unit. I'd pick Virat over Suresh Raina as the possible national captain in the future. His captaincy is a joy to watch and its only because of his aggressive, in-your-face and determined captaincy that India won the U19 World Cup in 2008. He might be the present-day Sourav Ganguly.
CSK Fan Posted August 25, 2010 Posted August 25, 2010 What kids don't understand Agression is not jumping up and down, making monkey faces. Steve Waugh was agressive, Sreeshanth is not. Viv was agressive, Harbhajan is not When Waugh walked up to Gibbs after the dropped catch in the WC and said those fampus words, he said that without any change of expression yet it was one of the most agressive acts ever. while jumping up and down and abusing might mascarade for agression in a school yard(that actually stems from insecurity but thats another story) for adults its just juvenile antics. Now Zaheer was agressive with the jellybeans incident and pushed himself to perform Agressive players dont need to speak a single word to intidimate the oppositon. they certainly never jump up and down or make faces. I am not denying that making faces and jumping doesnt get the opposition irritated. It will do that to any normal person. So Bhajji and Sree were able to get under Australia's skin. But please dont consider that to be 'agression'. You need to look up the meaning of the word.

Aggression in the silent yet motivational sense is on full display when the following gentlemen play cricket- Anil Kumble Rahul Dravid Sachin Tendulkar VVS Laxman I don't remember any of them ever getting animated while taking the fight to the opposition or when the going got tough for them.
Temujin Khaghan Posted August 25, 2010 Posted August 25, 2010 even Jayasurya is a very aggressive cricketer. he gives his 100% all the time, while batting or bowling. he always believes he can win the match for his team... never gives up.
