saurabh2602 Posted August 27, 2010 Posted August 27, 2010 I thought it was Sehwag who was crying for missing out on a hundred even after winning the match...:(( well sehwag just replied to questions in the press conference, but ur players (randiv, dilshan) connived to deny him a well deserved century. it was really petty of them... just shows their sporting :finger: spirit
Andy Posted August 27, 2010 Author Posted August 27, 2010 Lol at some Indian fans who whine about winning tests in AUS and SA- SL has only bn playing test cricket for some 28 years and they have achieved so much in such a short time. Lets compare some of the achievements.. First overseas win - It took india about four decades and some 100 odd matches to score its first overseas win whereas SL took only 10 years and some 65 odd matches. (As far as first home test win concern india's first test win came after 20some years. It took just 4 years for the Sri Lankans to achieve the same feat..) And lets look at the number of test matches India have won in Australia. They have managed to win 5 matches after playing 36 test matches in Australia and the first win came on the 12th attempt (after some 40 years gaining their test status). Since SL gained the test status in 1982 they have only played Australia 10times on Ausi soil and yet to win a test there.. Is it really fair enough for you guys to go on and on about winning a test in ausi, given that you guys were in a similar position? What should I say? give the lankans some more time and matches? Considering wining a test in SA, Indians just have won one game out of the 12tests they have played so far that too came when they were there last time. SL played only 6 matches and haven’t bn to SA since 2002. Overall, two countries have an identical figure of 0.39 of a Win & Loss ratio (overseas that is ). It makes me laughs how some of the indian fans trying to compare SL with the Likes of BD who has achieved absolutely nothing so far. (true they have won a couple of test matches in WI but that wasn't even a WI 'C' side. ) So going by those facts, Indians are not as superior as they are claiming to be. same goes for SL too. But SL has achieved so much in this 28 years and If they are given enough opportunities their stats would only get better. SL troll with Duplicate Handle.
Andy Posted August 27, 2010 Author Posted August 27, 2010 We saw the real indian team i mean indian future in triangular tournament in Zimbababwe without your big fellows now talking even they loose to Zimbabwe as well not only one occasion back to back 2 times' date= in that tournament our young hopes specially Chandimal, Jeewan Mendis perform really well anyway if you think current indian team you already all out onetime 88 another time 103 so, chasing 170 except Shewag 99 sorry for india.. as individual perspective india is good but not team perspective.... Huh! Thats one bad series and you start jumping on the guns. We are consistently good outside our Home and you Consistently Fail outside home.
Andy Posted August 27, 2010 Author Posted August 27, 2010 Leave alone Subcontinent. SL fails to perform whenever they play outside Sri Lanka.
vamos_rafa Posted August 27, 2010 Posted August 27, 2010 Leave alone Subcontinent. SL fails to perform whenever they play outside Sri Lanka. No Andy i think you forgot. They are quite a force to reckon with in Bangladesh.
Andy Posted August 27, 2010 Author Posted August 27, 2010 Now coming to their Youngsters Chandimal and Co- They have performed against India C team and Zimbabwe in one series. When they plays away and against beter sides, they'll be exposed. Talking about or benchstrength, I do agree our Benchstrength isnt good. But 2-3 players have performed against Major Oppostions Like Kohli, Ojha. Many of the deserving youngsters arent getting oppurtunities due to Dhoni.
Andy Posted August 27, 2010 Author Posted August 27, 2010 Can we stop discuss about things other than Cricket? This thread was made to discuss the strengths and weaknesses of both the teams. And compare them to see who is superior. I already mentioned, stop trolling on this thread, there are whole lot of threads where you have been doing that.
KiwiFan Posted August 27, 2010 Posted August 27, 2010 SL troll with Duplicate Handle. could not bear the truth? yeah truth hurts buddy.. Leave alone Subcontinent. SL fails to perform whenever they play outside Sri Lanka. like indians have done any better.. lol...
Andy Posted August 27, 2010 Author Posted August 27, 2010 could not bear the truth? yeah truth hurts buddy.. like indians have done any better.. lol... Its not about Truth, we can discuss long on that. Lol Lol. We have won Test matches everywhere.
Gunner_Mania Posted August 27, 2010 Posted August 27, 2010 No Andy i think you forgot. They are quite a force to reckon with in Bangladesh. Bangladesh is part of the subcontinent:P
hitman1980 Posted August 27, 2010 Posted August 27, 2010 Come on guys .. whom r we arguing with??? We r no.1 team ... Arguing with SL.. NZ??? They r so below the ladder .. Not worth wasting time on these lowly teams .. We must talk abt SA and AUS .. They belong to top category ..
HowardRoark Posted August 27, 2010 Posted August 27, 2010 SL troll with Duplicate Handle. If you have been to their forum you can recognize this SL labourer from New Zealand.

This is the $h!t that the BD fans normally peddle,. 4 decades - with a decade in between gone for World War when there was no cricket, comparing our pre-independence cricket teams with the modern facilities.
