If PCB was serious

They would conduct a lie detector test on all their players before and after the game. Although not 100% right lie detectors are considered to be mostly correct. Rather than wait for legal proceedings to complete PCB should call in the players named to take up lie detector tests right away. Even if it's only for it's sake and not for public consumption. It will help them set up an honest team that will give it's best every time they go out to play a game of cricket. They don't need talent, they need honesty.

When were the PCB ever serious Ravi ? Every time a scandal breaks out and looks like they have hit rock bottom, they only plunge deeper; 1999 WC final was outdone by 2003 WC where they failed to get past the 1st stage which was outdone by 2006 Oval Test which was outdone by 2007 WC Loss to Ireland and elimination from WC in the first round which was outdone by Bob Woolmer's death (suspected murder ?) which was outdone by The attack on the Lankan Cricket Team which was outdone by Their players being caught red handed. .... So, when are the PCB going to get serious ?

Can't believe none of the players have even been suspended yet. What is going on? Any tom dick and harry knows that when such a serious accusations are made with seeminbgly a lot of evidence. That accused should be suspended while investigations are conducted. What are PCB waiting for? Trying to brush it under the carpet again?

If PCB was serious, it would have sacked Mr.Qayyam from investigating the match fixing in the 90s and hired someone else who is unbiased. It was Mr.Qayyam who let off Akram and other superstars lightly because 'he was a fan of Akram'. Would you hear this from any judge from any other country? The current controversy involving Pakistan players in England could have been averted had the recommendations made by the Qayyum Commission been fully implemented, the retired High Court judge, who investigated the findings into match-fixing more than a decade ago, has said.

However, in an interview with Cricinfo in January 2006, Qayyum admitted he been lenient in his verdict on a couple of players, including Wasim Akram. "The quantum of punishment is more of one's subjective decision, and I was lenient towards one or two of them," he had said. "I had some soft corner for him [Wasim]. He was a very great player, a very great bowler and I was his fan, and therefore that thing did weigh with me."

Now Mr.Qayyam complains that if his report was fully implemented, we would not be seeing the current episiode. What moral basis does he have to complain about PCB when he exercised leniency to the players he liked? What an hypocrite! It's a country that's rotten in all walks of life and deserves this and much more.
