Holysmoke Posted September 17, 2010 Posted September 17, 2010 1. Tendulkar 20 years, 274 days 2. Miandad 20 years 272 days Ofcourse, its not even a comparison in terms of games played. Jayasuriya is the only other player to have crossed 20 years. But I dont know if he's ever gonna play ODIs again for SL.
saurabh2602 Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 Afridi will break this record Ghanta:finger:
Roshanrocks Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 Ghanta:finger: Afridi doesnt age :finger:
Rajiv Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 More than the longevity, NO ONE will EVER BREAK Sachins ODI's run record, it's unthinkable

Roshanrocks Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 rohit sharma might eclipse it. oodles of talent that one. :hysterical: let him get 1700 runs first

Other than that both Wasi akram and Aravinda de Silva have played up to 19 years of ODI cricket
Raghav_12 Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 Afridi doesnt age :finger: Afridi had been in his 20's atleast for 15 years until he decided to declare himself to be in 30"s :haha:
Rajiv Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 rohit sharma might eclipse it. oodles of talent that one. No one will 1) Tendulkar Talent 2) Opener 3) Span of 20 years 4) Fitness 5) Picked in Squad ( He played in Dead Rubbers too ) 6) The format of 50 over being played over a long period of time Sachin has secured/sealed his ODI run record forever
vamos_rafa Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 No one will 1) Tendulkar Talent 2) Opener 3) Span of 20 years 4) Fitness 5) Picked in Squad ( He played in Dead Rubbers too ) 6) The format of 50 over being played over a long period of time Sachin has secured/sealed his ODI run record forever Good point that. Our team was so dependent on him that they had to play him even for dead rubbers or useless matches against Bangladesh,Kenya etc.
Ram Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 Miandad's record shouldnt really count for much. He was essentially brought back from the wilderness to play just the 96 world cup. Sachin has been playing active cricket right throughout.
